I need some help. - You guys, I am going nuts.

blue72 replied: My 4 yr old can be very mean to my baby as well. He has done some of the exact things you mentioned. I rarely spank but Luke knows that if he hurts the baby he is going to get a swat on the behind and spend a very long time in his room. I also try and understand a lot of the aggression seems to be because he is still jealous. I make an effort to give him special "mommy time"each day. Don't know if it is working because we still have our days. I pray regularly to Jake's guardian angel to keep him safe

My kids tried the same thing... and normally spanking is something I stay away from but when it comes to a baby, I mean, one wrong bonk to their little heads could be seriously damaging.

Oh my goodness of course I would never give a beating to my son. LOL But I do spank him for it, and it still doesn't help. He gets mad at me, then punishes Demetri for it again.

I suppose I should add for those who don't know. Tristan is 4 and Demetri is almost 3

Crystalina replied: I deal with this alot. Izabella always beats her brother up if she doesn't get her way. She knows she's doing wrong because after she hits him and he starts to cry she tries to hurry and shut him up by consoling him or bribing him. She gets a nice swat on her butt and time out. That is about the only time I use physical dicipline. I tell her that she hurt him so I'm going to smack her on the bum and let her know just part of what he feels when she hurts him. I then talk to her alot about how she is supposed to love him and not hurt him and then she says we should put him on Ebay! She understands she's doing wrong but I have a feeling it's not going to stop. She's never left a goose egg on him though, he does that on his own. I think it's just siblings fighting and I'm sure your baby as well as mine will start sticking up for themselves. Then it's time for a big bottle of asprin.
My sister and I fought clear up into high school and we never killed each other and now we're the best of friends. Just keep your oldest away from sharp objects and try to be ther if you hear something starting so you can monitor so the baby doesn't get hurt. Mine are 4 and 2.

Insanemomof3 replied: Tristan is actually being much nicer to him today. I think he feels bad. He is still being his bossy self, and has hit him like twice (which is an improvement) but I put him in his room for a half hour each time he hit him. That seems to be working.

Here's hoping anyway. LOL I know that they are going to fight. I expect that, (I used to beat up my little sister too ) But bruising him and stuff makes ME look bad too. I know that sounds stupid, but I don't want CPS down MY back for something Tristan is doing. Plus I don't want him to be so mean. We are not mean, so I don't know where he is getting it.
