I noticed - about babies
gramps wrote: I noticed that on the topic board there are a lot of threads regarding babies with health problems. I just want to tell you that my heart goes out to you . I am the grandfather of 3 grandaughters, and I thank god they are all healthy. Please dont ever give up hope, because it has been my experience in life that the good lord loves children and fools (or else I cant explain my being here). Life may take some hard turns, but everything always seems to work out in the end. I really believe this. And to those of you who write in regarding minor problems such as babies crying or staying up all night, you should consider yourselves lucky that it is not more serious than that. I dont know all the answers, but I do know we should relish the time we have here and we should cherish these times we spend with our wonderful babies, because all to soon they will grow up and develop a mind of their own, and to be honest you might not like them any more. you will always love them but you might not like them. By the way, I am hoping to become a father again in the next year. I think it would be a great thing if my wife (second) would have a baby. take this for what you will, but please remember that our children are our future and all things are possible with faith and love.
Here is another picture of Katrina (I cant help myself)
mckayleesmom replied: lol...that is such a cute pick...I know what your saying Gramps...I try not to complain too much cause I know I have it pretty good. Mckaylee is happy and she sleeps. But its sad to see her grow up so fast. On a second note. I think that Schnoogly's mom needs the mother of the year award cause her little one gave them a scare when he was born,,still scary now because it was his heart, and he doesn't sleep very much. Hopefully he will learn to sleep better soon and give his parents some much much much needed ZZZZZ's. Hes got some strong parents. Congratulations on maybe having a little one soon..
gramps replied: To Mckylee's mom, Thanks for your well wishes regarding our attempt to have a child. You seem like a very sensible and caring person.
mckayleesmom replied: Your welcome....also I don't know if you have noticed yet or not, but they added a trying to conceive forum also,,,so you can maybe get some tips there.
MommyToAshley replied: Hi Gramps
I think you are right that sometimes we get so caught up in the little things that we need to just take a step back and realize how lucky we are. Every day, I thank God for giving us such a little miracle. I cheerish every moment with Ashley and I can't even put into words how much I love her. I do realize how truly blessed I am.
Your little Katrina is absolutely beautiful. THanks for sharing the pictures. How old are your other granddaugthers?
gramps replied: My other grandaughters are Angelina, four and Lillian, two and 1/2. Although I dont get to see Lillian any more because she was stolen from my daughter by the wicked witch of the west (my ex wife) and a bottom feeding lawyer. but that is a sad and complicated tale. Some day I will see her again. but in the meantime here is a picture of Angelina. Thanks for asking
gramps replied: Ashley is such a cutie pie. I just want to give her a big HUG. Love her hair color.
paradisemommy replied: ITA with you gramps on what you said!! i thank God every day for being blessed with such an absolute sweetheart and not a day goes by that i don't think how sad that the time is just flying by and before i know it, he's gonna just be too big for hugs and kisses and not have time for his mommy anymore
your granddaughters are absolutely gorgeous!!! i love the picture of katrina on the elephant!! too cute! and angelina has some beautiful eyes!!! you are truly blessed!
here's my little monster...
gramps replied: Tavenmommy Your son is a fine looking lad. I bet he is a handfull. but, as a son myself I can tell you that we never get too old for hugs and kisses from our moms. That is the BEST thing in life.
Jamison'smama replied: Those are two beautiful little ladies!!
gramps replied: Jamison is so cute. I just want to kiss those cheeks!
Schnoogly replied: Aw shucks. We have had a harder time than most, but I know several moms of "heart" babies who have lost them and I have another friend whose baby lived 2 years after a near-SIDS incident and had brain damage, finally passing from pneumonia a year ago.
I do count myself lucky--as much of a pain as Iain is, he is wonderful and I love him so much!!
MommyToAshley replied: Gramps,
Angelina is beautiful too ... your granddaughters must have some good genes.
Tavenmommy.. Taven is a cutie, he looks so grown-up with his new haircut!
