I really do not need this right now - Taking Iain to hospital for xray

Schnoogly wrote: Iain has been really sick since Thursday. Bad cough, fever, stuffy, diarrhea. He has hardly slept or eaten for days. This morning he stuck his finger in his ear and said "ow" so I called the ped and took him in, turns out he has a raging ear infection and possible pneumonia, so I have to take him in this aft. for a chest xray at the same place where he had his surgeries. bawling.gif

I really do not need this right now. Clearly I shouldn't have thought about having another child when i can't even keep this one out of the hospital.

DH can get bereavement leave (3 days paid) whenever I miscarry or need to go in for a D&C so that's something at least. I was supposed to go in to my doc for another u/s but I can't even think about that right now, my baby needs me.

ediep replied: Oh No!! Poor guy!!!! I hope that you ped gave you some major antibiotics for that infection, they should work soon. I hope he does not have pneumonia!!

Jason had to get chest x-rays for the same reason a few months back. It was a hassle, the ER was crowded and Jason was very unhappy, but it was worthwhile, when they came in and said....clear chest x-ray, you can go home!!

A&A'smommy replied: ((((BIG HUGS))))) I hope that he doesn't have pnemonia!!! And I hope he is feeling better soon.

momof2girls replied: I will be praying he gets better quick!

MomToMany replied: user posted imageSteph, it's not your fault he's sick! You are going through an extremely hard time right now. No one should blame you for Iain getting sick (and it's not your fault).

I've been through the pneumonia thing lots of times with Hannah. I'd thought she would start glowing from all of the x-rays (but the eased my fears). It is so scary. She's only had 1 ear infection, though.

I really hope Iain doesn't have pneumonia, and that it's just a chest cold.

I feel so bad for what you are going through. I can't even imagine the pain.

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no! Poor little guy. I hope he is feeling better soon. What happened with the XRay? I hope he doesn't have pnemonia.

Please take care of yourself as well. Sending some P&PT's your way.

Schnoogly replied: I haven't gotten the xray results back yet but he is tons better this morning. I could even tell last night that he was better. he slept better and he's actually smiling and playing this morning. I doubt he has pneumonia but his doc is very cautious with his care because of his heart and she heard some things in his chest she didn't like. This is only his 2nd ear infection. Both times he has been really sick he has gotten one.

And technically it's DH's fault laugh.gif He brought this one home from work. I've got it now too. I go in for my u/s on thursday so we will know for sure about the m/c then and will decide what to do--wait to m/c naturally or go for D&C. I thought I was starting to miscarry this weekend--some reddish spotting, sorry TMI, but then it stopped.

The xray tech asked if I was pregnant and I didn't really know what to say...I said yes, technically but it's likely the baby isn't alive anymore. He just looked at me and gave me the lead guard thingy.

Kaitlin'smom replied: oh I am so glad he is feeling better, take care of you and your family and tell DH to leave codls and such at the front door before comming in..... rolleyes.gif

Josie83 replied: I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, I don't really know what to say but that I'm thinking of you xx

kimberley replied: grouphug.gif i am so sorry you are going through all of this Steph. sad.gif i hope Iain is better real soon. my thoughts are with you.
