I think Brianna may have pneumonia again

The clinic isn't open until 8:30 so I'm just trying to pass the time until I can call. Dh has had pneumonia before and wants me to get her in ASAP-I think he was even debating having me take her to the E.R. but we decided she should be ok until we can talk to her Doctor. Please send my little girl some prayers. I'll update when we get home.

kimberley replied: poor baby!! many p&pt her way. is she complaining of her chest feeling tight or like someone is sitting on her? can you hear fluid/rattle in her chest? those are key signs of pneumonia. i hope its just a cold and she is better soon.

She isn't complaining of anything right now. I keep asking her if her chest hurts and she says no, but when she had pneumonia last time she have virtually no symptoms so I guess that doesn't mean anything. I tried listening to her chest but she's pretty phlegmy so I can't tell if she has fluid in there or not. I'm hoping the clinic will have us come right in because her breathing is very short and her heart rate seems pretty high.

DansMom replied: Poor Brianna! Could be reactive airways too (Daniel gets that with a bad chest cold.) I hope it's not pneumonia---let us know as soon as you find out.

5littleladies replied: Well I just talked to the Dr. and she told me to give Brianna a large dose of Ibuprofin and see if that helps. I'm supposed to call back in an hour and let her know how Bri is doing then.

5littleladies replied: Ok-The ibuprofin seemed to help some. Her temp is down and her breathing has eased somewhat. I'm still bringing her in to the clinic this afternoon but I'm not feeling quite so alarmed about it now. I'll update after we get home from the dr.
