I think I have a milk intolerance

My sister is lactose intolerant---it definitely sounds like you might be. The harder the cheese is, the less it will bother her. She gets stomach cramps and either constipation or diarrhea.

this is gross....but if I have ice creame... I have to find a bathroom ASAP..and ceral..oh lord I should know better!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: DH doesn't eat dairy, not because it makes him poopy, but he gets really flemmy from it and he says his body just can't handle it. He feels like he always has a cold if he eats the tiniest bit, but he actually LOVES dairy. Poor guy. It doesn't bother me at all.

ediep replied: yes! I buy Lactaid milk to have in coffee and cereal and I use the lactaid pills for other dairy like yogurt or cottage cheese. Ice cream kills my stomach and I have to take the cheese off most things like pizza, stuffed shells, or that type of thing

Boys r us replied: Oh yes, join the club!! I can't eat any dairy without paying serious consequenses for it!

I've never tried any of the pills they have for it! but I do know that both of my boys are the same..they were both on soy formula after I quit nursing.

We use Lactaid milk and John and Katie take the pills

I'm pretty sure I am. Tracy I sound just like your sister. The problem is, I love cheese (esp blue cheese). I don't care that much for ice cream, but I still don't want to do without it.

What do the pills do? Keep you from getting sick or give you the calcium and other vitamins you need?
