I went to buy Zach some clothes this weekend.... - he's so BIG!!!!

Hillbilly Housewife wrote: Most of Zach's pj's are 18 or 24 months.

This weekend, we went clothes shopping.... and I figured I'd try some stuff on him (the more expensive stuff) to make sure I got the right size.... most of the stuff I bought is 2T or 3T!!

Zach's HUGE!!!!

I weighed him last night on my MIL's scale, and he was 27 pounds. He lost a pound over the last few weeks! He's not fat - he's tall, and buff. He's got quite the little golf ball muscles.... lol

Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin is getting into 6-9 months, she is petite. She just turned 9 months yesterday! One outfit is 3-6 but it was huge, I am glad it was cause it now gives her a demimun jacket to wear. So like you I had to get her some clothes I went to old navy. com and got her a good stock for now and only spent $90 and got free shipping! Oh thanks snoogloly for the info on that! I love the clothes!

So I have about 10 6-9 summer outfits she will never wear! Oh well I will keep them and sell them next year, since they are brand new and tags are still on.

amynicole21 replied: Sophia's just the opposite! She's tiny wub.gif I still can put her in 6-9 month onesies, but 9-12 fits her better. I keep trying to get away with 12 month stuff since we got so much of it for her bday, but it hangs off of her tongue.gif

ediep replied: Jason wears mostly 12-18 months

DansMom replied:
Daniel has outgrown most of his 6-9, fits mostly 9-12 and some 12 months.

(He's 10 months, and skinny but tall, so things will be too short but baggy!)

coasterqueen replied: I have a feeling Kylie is going to be just like me sad.gif My mom would take me around to store after store trying to find clothes to fit me *properly*. Kylie is sooooo long waisted, but her legs are pretty long too, and she has a major pot belly going on, biggrin.gif

She got lots of 18 to 24 month size clothes for her birthday. Some fit her great, some are wayyy to big on her and some DON'T fit her!!! UGH! I guess I shouldn't have washed them so I could take some of them back. I was for sure they would fit her.

She also has a 2T shirt that fits her pretty well. It at least covers her big belly.

Our problem is that to get them to fit around her HUGE diaper and her HUGE belly then they are major long in the legs. Then I have to cuff them like 4 times and she just looks stupid in them. happy.gif It's driving me absolutely batty. So I tried pushing the waist of the pants below her belly because they seem to hurt her if they are digging into her belly and then when she bends over, if it wasn't for the diaper she would have major plumbers crack going on. emlaugh.gif

If she was walking all the time and not crawling some I would just put her in dresses and tights all the time so I didn't have to worry about it. laugh.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wub.gif My Claudia is still a little peanut. 12mth stuff is too big and 9mth stuff is getting to small. We are in that in-between phase! wub.gif

MomToMany replied: Most of Hannah's clothes are 18-24 months. Some of her shirts are 2T, since she wears them over another shirt.

Schnoogly replied: Mostly 9-12 month now still but they're a little big. His pants have to be bigger to fit over the cloth diapers. I just hemmed some 18m pants so he doesn't trip over them!

coasterqueen replied:
I was thinking of hemming Kylie's pants, too. Dh actually thought of it wink.gif I would never have thought of it becuz I don't sew. LOL.

Anyways, the only reason why I am hesitant in doing that is I am afraid I won't be able to sell her clothes at consignment shops if I do that. I'm holding on to all of her clothes until we decide to get pg again and know whether its a boy or girl, but after that I want to consign them. Do you think it is still okay to sell them after they have been hemmed and not the *true* size anymore?

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
What if you *fake* hem them? Just fold it over on the inside and hand-sew it...that way if you need to let it longer, you can...and then if you take it to a consignment shope, you can just cut the thread, pull it out, and voila, no more hem!!

~CrazieMama~ replied: I picked 18-24 months. Brianna can sometimes fit into 2T depending on the maker. But she is in this category. biggrin.gif

coasterqueen replied:
LOL. Okay, fake hem, huh? I'll have to ask my mom to do that. emlaugh.gif I dunno anything about sewing. DH gave me a shirt 7 months ago to sew a button on and I still haven't done it. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Thanks for the idea, though, good one! I will ask my mom. Poor Kylie, what is she gonna do with a mom like me? biggrin.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley has pretty much outgrown all her 12 month stuff. She's in 18 months now. Some of the things are long on her though. But, 12 months would be too tight. I don't bother hemming, I just cuff them. rolling_smile.gif I don't have a clue how to sew!

CantWait replied: Anthony is 2 and a half months and he's already wearing 3-6 month clothes. I can't believe it. bawling.gif

Schnoogly replied: Yeah, that's what I did--fake hem. I just folded them up about 2 inches and hemmed that. So when he grows I can just take the seam out and voila! perfect length.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Jade is wearing 12-18 month clothes. Some of her 12 month clothes are getting too small though and some of her 18 month clothes are still a bit big yet so I guess it just depends on who makes the clothes. I have noticed that Carter's tends to run a little bigger then other clothes. Speaking of Carter's I was a really good girl yesterday. They were having a really big sale and I didn't buy anything because I really don't have the money. That was REALLY hard.
