I wish I had the video camera today...

After I read your post last week about taking Ashley for a real walk, I decided it was time to do the same with Sophia. She discovered acorns!! She had to pick up as many as she could and keep them all in her tiny little hand. Every time she dropped one she had to bend down and pick it back up... which happened a lot. We finally just got her a bucket, and then she picked up anything she could to put in there!!

DansMom replied: Sometimes it's best to be part of and keep those moments in your memory anyway---it never fails with me that I'll try to capture a moment like that on tape or film, and Daniel will instantly take more interest in the camera and forgot about the wonderful thing he was doing. I have lots of footage of the tail end of something, with Daniel just sitting there or crawling eagerly toward me, and on tape you can hear me saying "Daniel WAS doing this or that". Plus when you're taping things you are less present yourself, you don't get to look her in the eye and laugh with her as easily. What we need is an invisible person who follow us with an invisible camera to get all the good stuff!

MommyToAshley replied: I agree, it wouldn't have been as special if I had a camera with me. But, she is growing sooo fast that I am afraid I am going to forget all these special little moments.
