I wonder if we would have been witnesses - to a robbery or not.

Well I was scanning our local newspaper online just now and saw the title "Baskin Robbins store robbed". The local police department declined to give further details on it, so I have no idea if it were later this afternoon or shortly after I left.
I wonder if we stayed in there to grab a treat, if we would have witnessed a robbery. I have never seen nor been a victim of it (Thank God!) but knowing Christian had not been feeling well, I knew that we needed to press on so I could get her home to rest. And ice cream on an ill stomach is not good, so we left after we found out they did not have the doll cake that I was looking for.
I am sure it was a scary thing for whoever was in the store, but I am thankful that I was not in there with the girls.
Nina J replied: I'm glad you wern't there, that would've been scary . I'd pee my pants if I were in a store and it got robbed.
I hope Christian is feeling better soon,
Simplebeliever replied: That's freaky. I'm glad you (and the your kids) weren't there when the robbery went down.
BTW completely off topic, but I wanted to tell you - the little girl I baby sit for is some what obsessed w/ your two girls. She recognizes your signature and happily exclaims "There's Christian & Kelly" every time she sees it (and I'm not on the computer that much when she's over here).
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I'm glad you weren't there! That would have been awful!
gr33n3y3z replied: That would have stunk I'm glad you and the girls missed that See by her not feeling well was the call to get out
holley79 replied: I worked in a store when I was 18 and was robbed at gun point. It was very scarey and hope to never have to go through that again. Glad you and the girls weren't there.
luvmykids replied: Glad you missed it! Hope C is feeling better today
CantWait replied: Never thought you'd say thankgoodness my baby was sick, kind of bitter sweet. Glad you weren't around for the action.
CantWait replied: On another note.....who robs a Baskin Robins
mom2my2cuties replied: Depends on where you live I guess - here our baksin robin is like God It's always got a contstant stream of requests. Ther is always a line out the door no matter what time of the day.
Glad you guys missed the excitement. And I hope Christian is feeling better today
C&K*s Mommie replied: Ours is the only one that I know of Baskin Robbins that is, and the Marble Slab Creamery gets much more out the door business than they do. I think they must have been an "easy" target. Why?, I do not know.
I have learned that it was later in the day that this robbery took place, it was around 5:30. We were there earlier that day. From what I can tell in the article, he never brandished the gun just claimed to have one and would shoot the employees if they failed to comply.
Thanks you guys for the well wishes for C. She has been off and on sick for awhile now, thanks to constant weather changes, and in part to being in school now. She is feeling better. The "not feeling so good" with her stomach may have been in part due to the chocolate milk I gave her earlier. Choc milk makes me sick to my stomach for a few minutes than I am fine, but she may have had it worse.
sparkys2boys replied: Very scary.. wow, you could have been there then. Just be thankful you didn't have a donut!!!!
