Ummmm.....HELLO?? That money could've been spent elsewhere, like alternative fuel funding! Or something more important! What a WASTE!!!

luvmykids replied:
Or to actually fund the rebates? rolleyes.gif

coasterqueen replied: I agree it was. I'm not sure if you got yours yet, but what I got was what I already knew. happy.gif I guess for a lot of people they don't have internet, or read the paper or news, etc so it might have been pretty informative to them. Still seemed like a waste to me.

gr33n3y3z replied:
I agree

mommy~to~a~bunch replied:
dry.gif No kidding! I'd gladly take that off their hands! I hate our government more & more everyday.

Jackie012007 replied: how stupid!!!!!!!!

Crystalina replied: Oh! You've got to be kidding me?

I don't know why I would expect anything less from our current administration. dry.gif

coasterqueen replied:
I don't want to debate this, but I do have to say that I think that's an unfair statement. Any administration that would give a rebate, would do this. Why? Because not everyone reads the paper or the internet and won't know about it. That document explains if you haven't filed why you should, etc, etc. There is a lot of helpful info in there. BUT I do agree I think it's a waste. I do not agree that it's something that just "this administration" would do, though wink.gif

mommy~to~a~bunch replied:

I wouldn't blame just them, I agree with Karen. Whoever was in there would do it.

Crystalina replied:
I could say that I agree but I don't like this particular administration so I'm totally blaming them. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif As long as when you DO like an administration and if they do the same, you blame them as well. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif wow!!!

Crystalina replied:
Well, when I wrote that I didn't mean just this particular thing. I should clarify. When I was typing that I was thinking of the excess spending that has already been done in the last eight years and kind of adding that into it as if to say, "it doesn't surprise me knowing how much has been spent already". Does that make sense? I agree that anyone in office would have to do this to inform those without internet access and all the other means of "high tech" communication. I guess I was just basically saying...we can add this to all the other outrages amounts of money that have already been spent.

Calimama replied: What a waste!! rolleyes.gif

amynicole21 replied: Got mine today rolleyes.gif

:.Mrs_Mommy.: replied: Definately a waste. rolleyes.gif

Swood75 replied: hmmm...wonder when I will get mine then??Does it say how they are gonna disburse them or when?Or does it just say "you qualify for a rebate check"? rolleyes.gif

Kentuckychick replied:
It probably says "you qualify for a rebate check"... they'll spend another $42 million on the letters that say "Your check's in the mail" tongue.gif

And no... I'm not surprised -- I also won't be surprised when they decide for certain (especially when they see that these rebates do not have the desired effect) that this is all coming out of our taxes next year.

maestra replied: Mine just said- here's what will be happening, and if you made ____ you will get ____. It wasn't specific to me at all.

Swood75 replied: So in other words (as many have already said) it is a BIG waste of $$..Are they only sending them to the ones that will be getting a check then? Sorry I am asking so many ?? but I want to make sure I understand everything right...TIA wink.gif
