I'm in shock

kit_kats_mom wrote: Dh got a media pc/cube from work for free. Then he realized that our TV won't work with it. Our old tv is a 27 inch 12 year old monster. Ok so we need a tv. We were planning on getting one, just not yet. Well we went to circut city and we now have a 2000.00 flat screen hdtv sitting in our living room. ohmy.gif He'd better not give me grief when I start buying furniture wink.gif

luvmykids replied: rolling_smile.gif Sounds about like the way we ended up with our plasma!

holley79 replied: Umm are we maybe married to brothers?? LOL. DH is the same way. I guess now we see why I have to work. LOL

My3LilMonkeys replied: We ended up with ours because DH "needed" to play his XBox games in HD. rolleyes.gif I still say ours is about 4 times the size we actually need.

kit_kats_mom replied: This is just fantastic. The dang thing wont' fit in our entertainment center. So now, guess who gets to go shopping for a new one? Yes, it was going to be replaced too but again, not yet. ARGH

I must admit, the picture is nice. wink.gif

thumb.gif I hate going to my parents to watch TV now, the pic seems so bad in comparison!

Have fun getting a new entertainment center! Have you thought about wall mounting it?

kit_kats_mom replied: Oh yes That's what I'd like to do. There are two things about it though. 1. we can't mount it high because we also have a projector for big movies (I know. my DH is a geek and it was free though rolling_smile.gif ) and 2. you still have the amp, tivo, dvd player, PC cube and speakers that have to go somewhere.

I'm leaning towards a low table type enterntainment system. Any reccomendation?

luvmykids replied:
We haven't mounted ours yet but have a cabinet that has doors on it, it's not an entertainment center but has room on top for all the stuff (DVR, etc.) and then everything else is inside.

I love the low table looking ones too .... at least it'll be fun to pick something out!

CantWait replied: ohmy.gif Wow, happy furniture shopping to ya I say. rolling_smile.gif

kayla's mama replied: We did the same thing. Bought a tv then it didn't fit so I had to but a new entertainment center.

Have fun furniture shopping!!!!!
