I'm sad.

~Roo'sMama~ wrote: My dad is taking my dog Bailey home to the farm with him today. We've been trying to find a home in the country for her for awhile and haven't found anything so my parents agreed to take her temporarily... allthough if my dad has his way it will be permanant. rolleyes.gif It's just too hard having two big dogs in the house ~ and with the baby coming soon it will be so much easier just having one dog, plus Bailey likes to run and play and I won't have time to take her to the park every day after Baby is here. It's a good thing and I'm sure she'll be fine but I'm so sad!! I'm going to miss my puppy. bawling.gif I sat on my kitchen floor with her last night and cried my eyes out - I really get too attatched to my animals. rolleyes.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: sad.gif awww at least you can go visit her, and know she is with your dad. Dont feel bad your doing whats best for her, I am also really attached to my pets.

JessC replied: Well at least you will have 1 dog! That sucks you have to have your dad take her, do you guys have a big enough backyard to keep them in?

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
No that's just it our backyard is tiny. dry.gif It wasn't too big a deal until now because I would just take them to the school football fields at the edge of town every day and let them run around for excersise, but once the baby is here I won't be able to fit both dogs and the baby in my car. tongue.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
Yes I was thinking this also. Hopefully we'll be able to visit them more this summer - we'll have an excuse since my mom and dad will want to see their youngest grandbaby! happy.gif

5littleladies replied: I'm sorry you are sad Sara. sad.gif I know how much you love Bailey. Just know that she will be so happy when she has room to run and play and you will be able to see her when you visit your parents. grouphug.gif

mammag replied: I'm sorry you are sad. sad.gif It's for the best though as you know. grouphug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I'm sorry! grouphug.gif

At least she is still in the family and you will be able to visit. It's probably a comfort to know that she is well taken care of as well. But, I am sorry you are so sad. bawling.gif :grouphug"

A&A'smommy replied: AWWWWWW (((((HUGS))))) I know how it feels to have to give away an animal that you love!! I'm sorry sweetie but your right it will be easier to just have one dog!

redchief replied: Pets become family too and separating the family is always hard. Sorry you're having a tough time right now.

My2Beauties replied: I'm so sorry Sara, I know what you are going through, I had to give all 5 of my cats to my mom and then eventually find homes for them! It's tough but at least you can visit Bailey and you know she will be loved and well taken care of! Hope you feel better hon! At least you know it's for the best! Sorry hon!

uwishucudfly replied: I know exactly how you feel. I have lost 3 dogs in my life. I never had to give them away, they all died. So at least you can go see Bailey. I don't think that you can get too attached to animals. They become part of your family, and giving them up is one of the hardest things in the world.
I have two Rottweilers right now, and they really do act like part of the family. They come in the room for dinner, each one sleeps in my son's rooms, and they just love being with us and visa versa. It's a hard thing to go through and I am really sorry that it is happening to you. Keep us posted on how you're doing!

ions_momma replied: Im sorry that your sad, but at least she is still in the family so you will be able to visit her. I get really attached to our pets too. We had a dog when we first starting dating that we had to get rid of because pets werent allowed where we were living. We only had that dog for about 2 or 3 months and I cried! I couldnt imagine giving up our dogs that we have had for 2 years!

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Well she's gone now. sad.gif I cried and cried after my dad left with her but I'm doing ok now. She was watching me with a confused look on her face as they pulled away and I lost it. bawling.gif I wouldn't feel so bad but she's been a house dog since we got her a year ago and at my parent's house she'll be a strictly outside dog. She'll like having the space to run but she won't like not being let inside. I hope she gets used to it soon. sad.gif I feel kinda bad for my other dog... at least I'll get lots of excersise taking him for walks so he doesn't get bored. tongue.gif
