I'm so excited!!! I just can't hide it..

Boys r us wrote: okay..I can't remember how the rest of the song goes..ahh the 80's!

Anyhow..I have FINALLY convinced Rick (with Braedon's help) to get another dog!
I want a little house dog, we have a big one right now..but I want one that is little and cute and I can put a bow in it's hair! HAAAAAAA Gosh I need a girl!

Anyhow, Rick asked Brae the othe rnight what he wanted Santa to bring him for xmas and Brae said, " A dog" and Rick said, "you already have a dog..you've got Wags(brae's stuffed animal) and brae said, "I want a WEAL(real) dog daddy" and Rick said, well you have Dozer(our huge real dog) and Brae said,"I want a wittle one!"

So anyhow, I've got Rick convinced to buy the boys a dog for christmas! We're going to get a Shih Tzu. I found a local breeder, she said she has a litter that will be ready the end of november but she will hold it until christmas for us so that we won't have to worry about what to do with him until xmas morning!
They're so cute!!! I can't wait! I convinced him this was the breed we needed b/c they are fantastic with kids and they don't shed very much...so anyhow, I convinced him first then told him how much they were wink.gif I'm slick! LOL

Anyhow, I CANNOT WAIT until christmas morning...my kids are going to FLIP!!!!!
and I'm a little excited too blush.gif

This is what they look like as babies:

Boys r us replied: and this is what they look like as adults, but I doubt that we'll let it's hair get that long!

coasterqueen replied: What a cutie! I had one like this when I was little. They are so cute! wub.gif

Good job on the convincing wink.gif. It's funny because my co-worker and I were just talking about how we want a little dog. But we both want one when we retire and don't have kids around. tongue.gif She'll be there sooner than I will. rolleyes.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: YAY!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

JP&KJMOM replied: I love Shih Tzu's and that is what we want to get also. My grandmother had one when I was a kid and that was the best dog ever. We have several friends that have them and my SIL has a male. HE is very hyper and can be agressive to protect her but my friend has a female and she is so calm and loveable.

Congrats.

holley79 replied: That is so sweet. They are so beautiful.

jcc64 replied: Very cute, Nichole. I LOVE dogs, although I am more oriented toward big sloppy dogs. My mom volunteers in a shelter, and it takes every ounce of control I have not to adopt every sad sack that comes through there. I already have a big dumb dog, but I could have 5 or 6 more if dh wasn't here to snap me back to reality.
Have fun with the "baby".

My2Beauties replied: My dad has a Shih Tzu, they have 4 dogs and he is the cutest thing, his name is Bocephus! laugh.gif They call him Bo though! He is very lovable and they were bred to be foot warming dogs, if you put your feet down on the floor while they are near, they will come over and roll around on your feet and snuggle up to them! Atleast Bo does and my dad said he read that somewhere, he reads books on all his dogs. Their hair is hard to take care of, they need baths and stuff quite often, and ask about the parent's skin and stuff, Bo has a skin disease that causes him to itch and stuff a lot and it's hereditary and common in that breed, so just make sure to check all that stuff out!

He has a Shih Tzu and Great pyrenese, a Miniature Shelty, and a mutt! wub.gif

Boys r us replied: Not that we'd want to "give it back" but this breeder offers a 2 year health guarantee that covers pretty much all of the things that the shih tzu breed is common for having..the deafness, skin irritations..etc. So that made me feel comfortable about it.

A&A'smommy replied: I LOVE little dogs especially that breed!!! When we were deciding on a dog that was one of the breeds we were considering!! I think that is halarious how you convinced Rick!!! thumb.gif tongue.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Aww how cute!! wub.gif That's so exciting - getting new pets is always fun! thumb.gif

booey2 replied: How cute, my sister had one and one day my niece (who was in diapers at the time) was let out of her diaper and she did #2 on the carpet and the little shitzu went behind her and ate it up. puke.gif rolling_smile.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh I had Malcolm...and he was awesome. I loved him.

But just so you know.. HAIR HAIR HAIR...I mean I was at the groomers once a week..and that was because I couldn't handle the hair in the house. I mean it was worth the 25.00 a week. He was sweet. I got him from a man here at work.. who wasn't taking care of him..he was so matted and sad. I had him all fixed up.. and I kept him a long time.

He loved me..and guarded me. And Randy would come in at night.. and he would be on the end of my bed..and he would go crazy. And one day he got Randy bad. He bit him a few times.. Randy said I had to give him away..cause he didnt' want the kids to come get in bed..and he get them..

So, my friend wanted him so bad. And I told her she could have him..if she promised to always keep him in the house..and keep his hair done. I told her of the expense..and I about how sad he was when he was all matted. The mats are painful. And she swore she would take care of him..I gave her the card of my groomer..and she made an appointment infront of me.

Guess WHAT! SHe never DID taken him..she has never taken care of him other than food. She wouldn't take him to the groomers..said she never had time..so of course he got fleas..when he got flea's she put him outside.. and he is awful. I had talked to her about it alot. I even went to get him more than once.. but her kids cry. I had given her gift certs to the groomers...finally his hair was so bad.. it was in his eye..and caused a massive eye infection. And she had to go to the vet or he would loose his site..and I went with her...and when we got there... I told the vet..if he knew anyone who would give him a good home and keep him groomed to call me.. infront of her..and she never said anything. It worked out good for me.. cause I didn't have to take him from the kids.. you know. So, he clipped him..bathed him, fixed his eye..and gave him to his sister in law. I was so glad..and to be honest.. I lost a friend over it.

I bet you will love it. They are so sweet. Randy would fuss at me.. cause I would have little bows in the boys hair..but Malccy didn't care..he loved me!

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: My brother and SIL have one of those dogs and she is so cute!! But she has a "princess" attitude. I am NOT joking, I have never seen a dog with such an attitude. If she gets mad at my brother or SIL she won't even look at them, it is hilarious. But they are good dogs and nice and small. Can't wait to see pics!!

jacobsmama replied: aww very cute doggy...I know your kids will love it! wub.gif

Boys r us replied: Mel, that is such a sad story!! I'm glad you ended up getting a good home for him though!

We're getting a male b/c I don't want to have to deal with periods and stuff b/c we would like to breed it one day, possibly. Anyways, it will have bows in his hair too!! haa!

CanadianMom2005 replied: awww, i love shih tzus.

I am also a dog lover. One of my pet peeves is people with the little breeds who trim off all the hair. ii just dont think its right, there suppose to long. Its part of the breed standard.

3xsthefun replied: Aww! They are so cute! Congrats!

TANNER'S MOM replied: Malcolm..never had an accident in the house.. Just wanted to mention that.

He was sooo good.

My3LilMonkeys replied: wub.gif I usually prefer large dogs but they are really cute!
