I'm so mad at myself!

My2Beauties wrote: OK to make a long story short I didn't get very many pictures of Hanna and Desiree's birthday party! We had just found our charger to our camcorder the same day as her party (how lucky of us ) but I was so worried about getting everything on camcorder that I neglected to take pictures of hardly anything. I didn't even realize I hadn't taken pictures until after the presents and cake! I am so mad at myself. I took like 8 pictures of the mess in the livingroom from all the presents and their half eaten cakes!

That happened to me at Sophia's birth! I thought DH was video taping everything after she came out, but he wasn't. We don't have anything of her first minutes.

kit_kats_mom replied: Is it digital video? If so, There is a lot of video editing software (Windows movie maker is the easiest to use by far in my experience) that allows you to take still's from the videos.

I know the camera takes stills...maybe I can do something with that???

If it's digital video, and you have the software, just upload the video to your computer and use the "capture image" button when you find a frame that you think would make a good photo.

You can also take it to a photo/video place and they can do it too.

I really enjoy messing around with K's videos but it does take time. Just don't try to do it until after she goes to bed or DH can watch her.

Kaitlin'smom replied: awww dont be mad at your self, I take way more dig pics than video, and there is so much I wish I would have gotten on tape but I did not, actually DH did not we agreed he would take video and i would do the dig pics, guess I need to get the camera out and learn how to use it

A&A'smommy replied: awwwww It is SOOO hard to get all the pictures we want the ONLY reason I got any was because of my mom! (((HUGS))) at least you got some video that will be nice to look back on!

Josie83 replied: Don't worry we forgive you! I hate the fact we don't have a digital camera or a scanner and are still operating in the dark ages with throwawy cameras . . . but hey! You've got your memories, that's the main thing! If only you could link up a video film for us to see! xx
