I'm so numb - Friends husband is seriously injured
CantWait wrote: My friends dh was seriously injured in Afghanistan early this morning. He's lost his left leg up to his knee, and his other leg is broken. He's lucky to be alive
Another Canadian was killed and two other soldiers injured. One of which his father always comes into my work and brings us donuts or other treats and what not, and talks to us for hours at a time. He's so proud of his son, and always has questions for us, and is so interested in what they do there.
This latest bombing has really hit close to home
Freckled Momma replied: OMG ...I'm so sorry Thank God he survived, but all the other losses are devastating....
Many prayers for your friend and all the other's families
luvmykids replied: So sorry to hear this, I can't imagine. And how awful that he's far from home and can't have his loving wife by his side. I so appreciate these courageous people who risk their lives everyday for the rest of us. Prayers to you and them also.
CAMSMOM1 replied:
I know that you are worried, about your DH. I pray for his safety and God's protection for all the soldiers defending our country. They are all heros in my heart, and I am so greatful that we have such brave and courageous men and women willing to serve, for our freedom.
I pray for your DH's safe return, and for this young man who is injured.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Marie - I saw that on the news late night...... I'm so sorry to hear. DH got mad at me because he wanted to watch something stupid on Space channel - but I made him leave it on the news until I was satisfied that I didn't hear your hubby's last name in there.
Your friend looked surprisingly calm on tv... it might be a risk she's accepted...but still!!!!!!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied:
