I'm soooo mad at my stupid dog!! - long vent

~Roo'sMama~ wrote: We have two 6 month old puppies, and about a month or 2 ago they finally stopped having accidents at night - the only bad thing was they would wake us up every morning a little after seven whining to go out and then we'd have to stay up or they'd demolish the house after we went back to bed.
Then we both started working evenings so they don't get their dinner until late - and they've completely stopped whining in the morning so we haven't been waking up. blush.gif One of them is a perfect angel and never pees or poos on the floor and the other one (who happens to be mine - of course dry.gif ) pees on the floor every night.... and while we're gone. This morning we woke up to the awful smell of dog poop wafting up the stairs and I had to go down and help DH clean it all up (thankfully I just cleaned the pee... i couldn't have handled the other!) I'm surprised I didn't barf - I did run to the bathroom a couple of times because I thought I was going to! puke.gif
Anyways sorry this got a little long I'm just so mad! mad.gif You'd think that the stupid dog would get it by now. unsure.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I can mildly feel your pain. My puppy is a little over 2 months so is still having accidents during the day. We have had pretty good luck with crating her at night and not having to wake up to the smell but we get the BARKING at 5:30 every morning. Atleast I am not pregnant because I don't think I could handle all the doggie messes if I were. I did throw up a few times while changing my daughters diapers while I was pregnant with m son.

amynicole21 replied: My nearly 4 year old dog STILL pees on the floor about 3 - 4 times a week! dry.gif Actually, I'd be thrilled if it was on the floor because the house is all tile. But, he has to find the 3 tiny area rugs we have and pee on those. mad.gif We even leave out puppy pads for him, and he uses them a lot. Have you tried those? They are scented with hormones which is supposed to attract the dog to them to do their business. Wish I had some advice for you, but obviously we haven't fixed the problem, either rolleyes.gif

Boys r us replied: Ohh No! I'm sorry! Cleaning up dog poo is no fun, especially when you're pregnant and already dealing with feeling icky!

What kind of dogs?

Josie83 replied: Urgh, how annoying! Try not to be too mad at the dog tho, its still a baby! You hava nice husband clearing it all up for you! xx

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
I know... I couldn't stay mad for long. rolleyes.gif It's just frustating because they were doing so well for a little while. dry.gif
I have thought about the puppy pads - but I sort of worried that that would make them think it was ok to go in the house. unsure.gif
They're so cute when they're being good - they're brother and sister German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix. smile.gif

aspenblue1 replied: Have you tried crate training them. That has worked wonderful for my dogs.

A&A'smommy replied: ugh that sucks!! I hade two kittens (before I moved and had to give them away bawling.gif ) my "roomate" (another girl and her df lived with us) was the NASTIEST person and would NEVER clean up after them so I ended up doing it ALL so anyway dh and I went away to missiouri (a 8hr trip) to visit family well when we came home the trailor WREAKED of cat poo it was EVERYWHERE come to find out she had spent the whole time gone neither one of them got fed or watered and their litter box was awful, and my cat was sick from all this I was SOOO pissed. So anyway sorry that got long but I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain!

3xsthefun replied: I really feel your pain. sad.gif Saturday morning when I woke up to get my daughter my dog had a accident in front of my bedroom door. mad.gif I usually put her in her crate but I thought I'd let her sleep on the bed with me. Big,big mistake I had to clean up dog poo at 3 in the morning! dry.gif She is almost 3 years old too!! rolleyes.gif

loveydad replied: We got our puppy in September and he's still pissing me off! He'll run into the house (he's mostly an outside dog now) and grab one thing - like a baby hat or a shoe or a baby toy, and run outside with it and chew on it !GRR after finding a cute little slipper of Clara's all messed up I was pissed. I found a hat of Peters outside yesterday. THen i went across the street and in the pasture there was my shoe, a bunch of toys, and a bunch of garbage. We don't even own that land! Then I fell asleep today and woke up - he'd pooped up the floor! GRR! he's only in about 1 hour in total a day becuase he likes to hang out with our bigger dog.

Then he's found a way to get out of the bathroom at night, so I woke up at like 4 am and he was tearing through the house, going through teh trash, CHEWING up everything and making a huge mess. He's an outside at night dog now!

Plus he won't stop chewing the cat. I keep screaming at him but he ignores me. He'll sneak forward, i'll yell at him, he'll run back, then do the same thing. GRR

My2Beauties replied: Man oh man! This is the reason I am a cat person! rolling_smile.gif I love dogs don't get me wrong but I gag off my DD"s diapers sometimes, much less dog poop!!!! If we ever get a dog I want a little miniature toy dog where their poop is like one little bitty...um I guess the correct word is turd rolling_smile.gif and it comes right up! As for the peeing though that sucks!

kimberley replied: yuck! that is precisely why i refuse to get a dog. puke.gif hope he gets it soon. wacko.gif

coasterqueen replied: UGH! ((HUGS)) I don't have dogs but I do have cats. We just finished our basement and not too long after the new carpet was put down our nicely litterbox trained 10 year old (I think she's 10 now, lol) decided to start peeing and pooping all over the floor. Grrrrrr.

Hopefully your pup stops doing it soon. grouphug.gif
