I'm starting to freak out

ediep wrote: ok, you guys know my anxiety and stomachh aches that I have been dealing with... well, it all stems back to when Jason was 1 and he was hospitalized for the rotavirus. It was very tramatic for me.

anyway, on to why I'm freaking..... Dh is away for a few days, my parents are busy with my sister who just had her baby, and Emma has diarreah! She seems ok, but she yesterday she pooped 3 times, which is a lot for her and today she has already gone 3 times and its only 1pm. at this rate she'll go 10 times today.

Oh god, my stomach hurts!!!!!!!

A&A'smommy replied: hug.gif hug.gif Try to relax honey... I'm sure she is okay!! hug.gif hug.gif

DansMom replied: I can see how that would be a trigger, Edie. hug.gif I'm fairly useless in helping DH with his anxiety, but it does seem to help for him to see what's likely and not focus on the worst case scenario. For example, most times diarrhea is just something that didn't agree with their tummy, and most viruses aren't as bad as the rotovirus. Hopefully Emma will get rid of whatever is bothering her and be back to normal by tomorrow.

coasterqueen replied: hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif I know this is easier said than done, but try to calm down the best you can. Try some meditation, belly breathing, etc. Maybe she's just teething? I know Megan gets runny diapers (lots) when teething.

ediep replied:
thanks everyone

she definately is teething, and she is also drooling a lot.

My dad stopped by earlier and helped me to calm down a bit

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no, I can see how this would upset you. If she is drooling, it is probably just teething. I understand how you feel, I get anxious when Ashley gets sick too.

How is she doing now? How are you doing now?

ediep replied:
She is sleeping now, but did another diarreah after dinner. So that makes 4 today so far. I hope she doesn't go tonight in her sleep because her tush is so red that she really needs the time to heal. I loaded her up with desitin before bed.

She seems ok, but man I still have that nervous stomach. I'm sure its because DH is away.

should I call the doc tomorrow?

Brias3 replied: How's Emma feeling??

Hang in there!! hug.gif

ediep replied: update

I took her into the ped this morning and he said its a minor bug... as long as she is drinking her bottles she'll be fine. He said it may last as long as a week. She also has a cough, he thinks they aren't related. My sister still believes that this is all from teething, but whatever.

She is eating and drinking fine, just lots of poop!

I am a little worried becuase she is supposed to sleep over my parents house friday because we are having a halloween party and we are going to a wedding saturday night, and my sister is babysitting. I hate to be away from her if she isn't feeling well.

MommyToAshley replied: It's good you took her to the ped, even if all you got was a little reassurance. I'm glad to hear it is nothing serious. Friday is still a few days aways, hopefully she will be better by then. Sending some get well vibes for Emma and hugs hug.gif for you.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I bet she will be feeling fine in no time. I'm glad you are doing better, hun. hug.gif

coasterqueen replied:
I tend to agree with your sister, but I haven't seen your DD so I know I am just guessing.

Megan gets a low grade fever, runny runny poops and runny nose/cough/congestion every single time she teethes. It's been on and off a LOT lately with her teething two year molars. A real pain in the butt!

hug.gif hug.gif Hope she feels better soon.
