I'm worried about Wil

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: He had a low-grade fever for two days, but it was gone yesterday. He woke up this morning with a little cough and crusty nose and was so clingy. I picked him up and we sat in my rocker for a good twenty minutes with him just resting his head on my shoulder. I went downstairs to get him a bottle, he drank that, and then wanted to be back up on me. I'm wondering if it scared him that I was gone last night. I went out with the girl's and left before he woke up from his afternoon nap. And then I wasn't there to put him to bed. He's always been great alone with other people, especially DH, but do you think he missed me? Or is this just a sign that he may be coming down with something? It's so hard to know when they don't talk!

amymom replied: It might be a combo. He may be coming down with something and be missing you. My dd is that way whenever I go somewhere!!!

It doesn't get much better when they can talk, because they don't always tell you what is going on. tongue.gif But yes they can tell you where it hurts. So I guess it is somewhat better.

ammommy replied: The cough and nose are probably due to the weird weather that we are having. The clinginess could be that he wants his mommy time. Megan still does that the day after I go to the gym at night (follow that?). She is literally attached to me all morning.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan gets really clingy when he isn't feeling well or if he's tired. Maybe DH didn't get him to bed at the usual time. I went out Wednesday and Aaron kept Logan up until 9:30. He was a bit of a pill yesterday until I got him napped up.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I don't know.. Summer cold maybe? I hope he feels better!

kit_kats_mom replied: I'd probably take him in to the ped. Remember the fever advice I'd given you in your earlier post? The fever isn't that big of a deal but it's how they are acting. If you think he's "off" and that's followed by a fever, it could be his body was tyring to fight somehting off and didn't quite get it all KWIM? Chances are it's just a virus and nothing can be done but it could be an ear infection or something too.

mammag replied: I agree with Cary, I'd probably just take him in, it will ease your mind anyway...

Hope all is well!

moped replied: I personally don't think it has anything to do with you going out at all - I think he is feeling sick, maybe teething or just feeling yucky in general.........................but if you are worried I would take him in for you peace of mind!

jcc64 replied: I think you can chalk the clinginess up to not feeling well. I'm sure it's just a virus and he'll fight it off in time.

A&A'smommy replied: well its VERY possible that he missed you last nigh but it is more than likely that he is clingy because he doesn't feel good!! Is his fever back? If he doesn't get better soon I think I would take him to his docters!

ian'smommy replied: is it possible that he is teething? Ian would get a little stuffiness and a low grade fever when he was teething... and the runny nose can cause the cough too... just a thought...

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: My guess would be a little cold and thats it. Matt got all stuffy and warm 3 days ago and Katy yesterday They have both been a little *off* but Since Katy can talk and she says she's okay I'm assuming it's just a little cold. btw Matt has been kinda clingy the last 24 hours or so

jenn3 replied: I think it might be a mix of both. Good luck hug.gif
