In a rut with names... - I know I have time, but...
ashtonsmama wrote: I keep trying to think of names for this baby and I CAN'T! ACK. Any ideas for me yet?!? Don't know obviously if it's a B/G, but we're hoping girl...boy is fine though too! But any ideas for some different, but not wierd ones?!?
Thanks. This is me:
luvmykids replied: I noticed Ashton's names both start with the same letters of your names, did you do that intentionally and if so do you want to continue that?
ashtonsmama replied: Honestly, I've never even noticed that! So that would be a no, that was definitely not planned! And any initials are fine, as long as it's not B.U.T. or something like that.
luvbug00 replied: Ditto to Monica and If you did want to repaet that then how about...
Adian Reiley?
Amaya Amalia Amelia Alani
or use Ashtons middle name for both? that would be cool.even if it is a girl..
ashtonsmama replied: Cute ideas...thanks!!! I like Alani the best I think, and BTW, I love the pic of your sweet girl in the avatar!
Halo42101 replied: How about Aliyah for a girl and Brody for a boy?
moped replied: What about Charlie!
ashtonsmama replied: I do like Brody for a boy, Aliyah is beautiful, it may grow on me!
ashtonsmama replied: I do actually really like Charlie, but it is a little old-fashioned for me...I kind of want something more different, but it is still an adorable name! A family I used to nanny for had twins named Jake and Charlie, so I like the name because I think of them...
Halo42101 replied: I have always liked the name Gavin. Just another one for you.
EvesMom replied: Girls Samara, (hebrew) Meaning, guarded by god. Yalitza,(American) Meaning, beautiful water goddess Shoshanah(Hebrew, for Rose Boys Braden (English) meaning broad August (german) meaning, revered/exalted Rohan(Hindi), meaning, sandalwood
These are different, maybe too weird? I dunno
ashtonsmama replied: I DO like the name Gavin, alot actually...and thanks again for suggesting Oriana, I really like that one too! And Beth, I really like August! Those are some really pretty names, thanks for suggesting them... I just realized...why did I post this in here?!? I'm not due in Jan-April!
Brias3 replied: Of course, I'm kind of partial to Aliyah, as someone suggested If you're wanting to stick with "A" names to go with the rest of your family names, how about Alessa or Ariana? I think Aidan is cute for a boy, to go with Ashton. I'll try and come up with some more creative ideas for you!
ashtonsmama replied: Thanks Bria. I actually kind of want to have a name that starts with something other than an "a", just because I don't want them to be always the same, like A & A type of thing...KWIM? Thanks for the boy ideas...I do like Aidan, it's just a little too popular for me, but that could change!
Brias3 replied: Rhiannon, Serena, Charlotte, Malena Zander, Cayden, Griffin, Damian
A few non- "A" suggestions
Good luck! You've got some time so don't worry. Mason didn't have a name till he was nearly two days old
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: If this one were a girl, we were going to name her Audrey...I think that would be cute with Ashton. Or Aubree is cute too!
ashtonsmama replied: Thanks Bria! Out of those, my favorites are Rhiannon (I really think it's cute, I also like Rhianna), Charlotte (I know a cute baby girl named Charlotte, they call her Charley/Charlie for short and I love that), and I like Malena, also like Malaina maybe? And as for boys, I like Zander, it's different, and Cayden is cute too! Thanks Bria! And thanks for the reminder on time, I do have a long time before I really need a name!
ashtonsmama replied: I love Audrey and Aubree! Thanks Rae-
PrairieMom replied: I like the name Charlie too. Acutally, I have a friend who just names her baby GIRL Charlee Jo. It is really gorwing on me! How about Brenna?
ashtonsmama replied: I kind of like Brenna too, it's not too common...but it kind of reminds me of Brittany or something for some reason...I dunno. But I still like it, it's on the list! Thanks Tara.
Bee_Kay replied: Emily, Emma, Olivia, Hannah, Larissa, Riley, Trista, Vanessa,
ashtonsmama replied: Thanks Barb...get me rollin'! OK-out of those...I like Emma (and still like Emmi too), Olivia is still cute, Hannah is beautiful, love Riley (some other spellings too, like Rylee and Rylie)...and how funny you said Larissa...there was a really mean girl in H.S. that used to pick on me and my friend...so I guess that one's out just because of the connotation, but I like the sound of it! Thanks for the help. Keep 'em coming!
huggybugboy replied: Orion, Othaniel, Oliver (I like O names) I love the name Ruby for a girl DH will never let me name our daughter that, so you can have it. I like Abby or Abigail and Charlie is really cute for a girl. ahhh. there are so many names to go through. Good luck!
ashtonsmama replied: Thanks for all the cute ideas! I do like Orion, that's really cute, and Jessi suggested Oriana for a girl, and I like that one too...and I'm pretty sure (from what I've seen of Miles) that he has red hair right? Well, I've met TWO red haired little babies named Ruby in about the past few months! How funny is that-it is a pretty cute name...along with the "jewel" theme, I loved in I am Sam (the movie with Sean Penn), when he names his daughter Lucy Diamond Dawson... I love Diamond for a middle name, but it does sound a little stuck up-ish and wierd I guess...we'll see.
asweetnectarwomb replied: What if ur kids's name in ABC order? Ashton then... B for girls Belinda (Beautiful, Spanish) or Bea (Blessed, American) or Belle (Beautiful, French); for boys Benoit (Bland, French), or Benigno (kind, Latin) or Bertrand (bright, French)

well, let us know what u finally decide...
love,
ashtonsmama replied: Thanks Nina, I really love Belle/Bella for a girl...
Nina J replied: Krystal came to my mind straight away. Amanda, Ryan, Ashton and Krystal just sounds sweet.

OK-I just figured I'd copy all these into a new post and respond on them all...here are the ones I really like: BOYS: August (instead of Augustus, too long for me) Brody Ethan Jackson (also like Jaxon, just because it's different) Simon (kind of cute!) Vaughn (I think I posted this one before, I LOVE it) Wade (really adorable) Owen
GIRLS: Bella Rose (maybe not the Rose though, just because it doesn't exactly flow with our last name) Lola Piper Gabrielle (and Gabriella) Hannah Isabelle/Isabelle Mikaela/McKaila/McKaela
Thanks so much for getting my brain rolling! There's some cute names out there, there's so many to choose from, it's hard...
