Is everybody still using baby detergent?

I don't think she has sensitivities to the detergent - she sleeps on our chests a lot of the time, and never gets rashes on her face or anything. I do like the way Dreft smells, but it never gets stains out Has anyone else made the switch yet?
ediep replied: I was wondering te same thing...I was thinking of switching after his birthday.
aspenblue1 replied: I was going to switch after her birthday.
booey2 replied: We never did use the baby detergent. We had and always have used Cheer laundry detergent and the boys didn't have any bad reactions.
coasterqueen replied: I used baby detergent for about the first 3 months and then just decided it was way too expensive to justify spending the money. So I bought Cheer Free and have been using it ever since. Kylie has never had any problems with it. And it is MUCH cheaper, especially buying it at Walmart
jdkjd replied: When I ran out of Dreft last month, I started using the Tide. I haven't noticed any problems, and it's definitely less expensive.
maliksmommy replied: We never used baby detergent and have never had any problems. I would think it would be okay, just keep an eye on her for the first few days.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I buy the Ivory for babies brand......I buy it in bulk - lasts forever, takes stains out, and smells so good and fresh!
Edited to say - I also use it on my sheets, pillow cases and towels - they come out SO MUCH SOFTER than with the Tide I usually use on our clothes...
Mommieto2Girls replied: I am still using baby detergent. I like the smell on her clothes. Now that she's one I will switch her soon but not sure as to when.
Schnoogly replied: I've never used baby detergent. We use all free and clear for all our stuff (I am sensitive to the smelly stuff) and I have been using a biodegradable detergent (Tree of Life I think??) for his diapers. I'm going to switch to that for all our stuff because you can use less of it and it smells good.
5littleladies replied: I haven't used baby detergent either-too expensive. I just use plain old Tide. We haven't had any reactions to it.
MomToMany replied: I used Dreft for the first 2 or 3 months. I ran out one day, and just never bought any more. I didn't like washing all Hannah's clothes separate anyway, too much of a hassle.
Guest_jem0622 replied: Never used baby detergent. Just dye free/fragrance free for the whole family.

DansMom replied: I've always use All Free and Clear (or similar products) for all of the laundry, but not specialized baby detergent like Dreft. A friend of mine is allergic to Tide in particular, for some reason, but I used to use it before the baby came. My own skin has been less itchy since I switched.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I'm still using Dreft at the moment. I still have some left. I might switch over to Tide when it runs out. I use that on all of our clothes and sheets and it doesn't seem to bother Jade. We did find out the hard way that she's allergic to Surf. My firend next door gave me a bunch of clothes and the ones washed in surf gave Jade a major rash. She even had dots on her head.
