Is two hours enough time for a bday party?

luvmykids wrote: Since the twins are having separate parties but on the same day, I kept them both to two hours, plus I wanted a definite end time for the parents who choose not to stay. But now I'm wondering if thats enough....I figure an hour for games/crafts, and an hour for cake and presents, if it takes less than that they can play. But am I dreaming?

skinkybaby replied: No, it's perfect! All the birthday parties we go to are usually 1 1/2 - 2 hours

coasterqueen replied: I think it's enough. We always schedule two hours for ours and Kylie is going to one this weekend that's scheduled for two hours.

ZandersMama replied: Definitely enough time. You are braver then me though, wow two parties in one day?

booey2 replied: Definitely enough time especially if you have to do it indoors. Any longer and I am usually pulling my hair out.

kimberley replied: long enough for you... YES! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

it should be long enough to do it all if you don't clean up the craft stuff right away. good luck!

MommyToAshley replied: Most parties we go to have a 2 hour time frame, so that should be plenty of time. Are you having both at your house? How much time have you scheduled between the parties? The only reason I am asking is that we've had guests hang around longer... which is no big deal but it is if you have another party to get ready for.

luvmykids replied:
Both at the house, with two hours between parties. Kylie's is 11-1, Colts is 3-5. I figure if I have everything ready the day before, even if some guests linger, it gives me enough time to gather up one tablecloth of junk, put it in the trash, and put a new one on laugh.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
Sounds like a great plan! thumb.gif

Have fun, and good luck!

lovemy2 replied: Oh good gosh yes - anymore than that and you will need to be committed laugh.gif

A&A'smommy replied: haha thats awesome and PLENTY of time!!!! thumb.gif

holley79 replied: Oh I think it is plenty. I keep Annika's parties as close to 2 hours as possible.

Calimama replied:
After 2 parties you may need to be anyway. rolling_smile.gif

2 hours sounds perfect!

sparkys2boys replied: I think it's a great amount of time.. enough for the kids to have fun not to much to drive mom insane!

mom21kid2dogs replied: I wouldn't plan it for one minute more than 2 hours. Trust me, you'll need something hard to drink after the end of the first 2 hours!!! rolling_smile.gif Good luck with all that, Monica!

luvmykids replied: I must have my head in the clouds because I'm really excited laugh.gif So far not stressed at all. But ask me again on Friday when I'm trying to make sure everything is ready and head to an all night scrapping party rolling_smile.gif

Brias3 replied: Sounds like a normal birthday party time frame to me!
