Is your significant other BAM-BAM?
coasterqueen wrote: I am always joking with DH that he's BAM-BAM, that he doesn't know his own strength or maybe it's just that he's clumsy. Probably both.
For instance I remember when they delivered our bedroom armoire (a long time ago). After they delivered it DH was putting the tv in it and the satellite thingy and what did he do almost immediately, scuffed the armoire with the satellite thingy. It was brand new now with a nice dent in the front of it for everyone to see. Exhibit A - clumsy.
After we got Kylie new bedroom furniture DH was moving the lingerie dresser around and pushed too hard on something on it and I hear a "crack"....he did something to the dresser, gosh knows what and hence a chip in the finish. . Exhibit B - BAM BAM, clumsy.
The other night we were putting a dust ruffle on Kylie's bed and Dh was moving the bed back and I hear a "crack". He cracked an area of the design on the bottom of her bed and well......now let's hope Kylie never messes with it or it won't be good. Exhibit C - BAM BAM.
I could go on and on about his ability to not see how powerful his scrawny little body can be and that he's not BAM BAM and that he's clumsy, but I'll spare you all.
I just wondered...am I the only one living with a clumsy little BAM BAM?
~Roo'sMama~ replied: LOL that sounds like ME most of the time! I'm so clumsy and have to be super careful not to break stuff all the time. I'm a lot better about it than I used to be though.
jolene555 replied: Barry is exceptionaly careful and graceful. My own father, however, matches this BAM BAM ideal to a tee. He is great with his hands and truely is the strongest person I know. He tries so hard to help. But without a doubt something will break or go wrong every time he tries to do something around the house. It's so frustrating for him, lol.
TANNER'S MOM replied: It's a good thing you explained that.. I thought wam bam thank you ma'am
Boy, I am glad he is just clumsy! lol
I am the clumsy and scatterbrained one!
coasterqueen replied: LOL! Didn't you ever watch Flintstones?
Bam Bam didn't know his own strength...that's my DH.
I don't have a way of getting my words out in the best possible manner I know .
kimberley replied: haha Jamie is like that too sometimes. he was trying to attach the hose to a hose reel we got (bought 2, won't buy anymore ) and broke the plastic part of the hose reel the hose screws into. we left the food waste recycling box outside one night and it got filled with ice. so he started banging it against the pavement to get the ice out and the secure lid went flying off . i am sure there are more but i can't remember them all. they really don't know their own strength!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: LOL well I guess you could count the time DH was trying to fix our car window and got mad at it and kicked a big dent in the door! That wasn't really clumsiness though, more like ox-headedness.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Exact same situation here. Scotty is SO careful and clean and gentle with EVERYTHING. He takes great pride in his furniture and hates to see it get scuffed. I'm very clumsy (must get it from my father. )
A&A'smommy replied: no I"m the clumsy one LOL
Josie83 replied: No, I'm quite clumsy and have been told mby my sisters that i don't know my own strength! I have bene known to hurt Jason when we're playfighting He's always so gentle and careful with Cassie and me! xx
Lollie replied: Hehehehehe...I also thought the post is about..wham,mab,thank you ma'am!!
Devlin's not clumsy but he does think he can fix any type of machine...which he cant..LOL
Even though he plays rugby for the varsity team..when he's with me and Bri he is sooo gentle and careful. If Bri just hurts her finger or something,he holds her and cuddles her and kisses her finger better even though she doesnt see what the big deal is. I think Im the crazy and clumsy one!
jcc64 replied: A night doesn't go by when dh is doing the dishes that something doesn't hit the floor and shatter everywhere...
