Last night we were laying in the bed listing to the baby on the doppler and then Rick hopped up out of the bed really quick and landed wrong on his ankle. He immedietly was in massive pain. I thought he had just sort of jammed it..you know how if you land on your ankle wrong it can kind of feel locked up. Well, I was laughing b/c I thought that's what he did and he was whining and I just told him to get up and walk it off. Well he tried but he couldn't. I honestly just thought he was being a big baby. But we got up this morning and he was still in horrible pain and his ankle is very swollen, so I don't know if he broke it or what..I told him he was getting old and had to be careful!! LOL He didn't like that! But anyhow...as soon as the dr's office opens..I'm taking him on in! Wish me luck, me with my big ole belly trying to lug a 190 pound crippled guy around!

luvbug00 replied: sounds to me like a sprained ankle. ( usaually a loud "pop" screams broken but since no pop was mentioned. ) umm Yeah he's gonna be off it for, I'd say up to 2 weeks i'd think. I hope you can survive because NOTHING is more annoying then a whining full grown male.LOL!

Isprained my ankle once while I was takeing my daughter Trick or Treating. It is no picinic. Ihope he feels better.

TheOaf66 replied: well take it from me who has 2 bad ankles. If it just swells up and if he did it last night then today it should be black and blue he sprained it and possibly pulled some ligaments...did the same thing 2 weeks ago, I usually go through this every 6 months or so...my advice ICE, ACE Bandage, Elevate, and Advil. The only thing the Dr is going to do is say "yep sprain" and give him an air cast (which don't work by the way). If it was broken he could not walk on it at all...now picture having to lug around a 250lb crippled guy (me) he'll be fine in time

Brias3 replied: That stinks. I did that the night before a flight once and it was still so swollen and un-"walkable" the next day too. Hopefully he doesn't have a break.
