It's TIDY UP TUESDAY again.....

I was off work yesterday and thinking about FALL and what needs to be done outside this time of the year. I was looking at my rose bushes that hadn't been pruned all year, the dead flowers in my deck containers and the weeding I hadn't done in a month.
SO if you have any "tidy-up'ing" to do out in the yard, this is the perfect time of year because it's nice and not HOT (well not for some ). So let's tidy-up out in the yard this week! IF you don't have any tidy-up'ing in the yard then pick a room in your home and do your tidy-up'ing in there, k?
I did my tidy-up'ing yesterday by trimming all my rose bushes, I trimmed some of my bushes that had gone wild, weeded around the house, and cleaned all the dead flowers out of my deck containers.
I also cleaned the ENTIRE first floor of the house (didn't do the basement ), put some pictures in frames that were hanging on the wall with no pics in them , and got out all my halloween decorations to be put up. WHEW! I was busy, busy yesterday.
ammommy replied: Dang, this is the second week in a row that we are on the same path. Scary, huh? I was just thinking that I needed to prune my hedges and cut down the elephant grass before it gets messy. Thankfully, the kids will play outside while I chop away.
mammag replied: Yep, I need to do this one big time!!!! My rose bushes definitely need some tlc! Good one Karen!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I don't have a yard.
Heck - I can't even keep my PLANTS alive!!!!
My grandmother was over this weekend... and told me why my plants kept dying.....
it's because I don't transfer them over to a new pot with new earth. DOH! I didn't know I had to do this....
So... next time I'm at a store where they sell plants, I'm gonna get some new earth, some nice pots, and re-plant the 2 plants that are still struggling on my coffee table by the window.... Hopefully tonight.
I've been home alone all morning... so my house is pretty clean already... except for the computer room. That is DH"s room to do, considering I did the rest of the house.... maybe I'll finish painting my bedroom.
A&A'smommy replied: Oh goodness I have to clean today and i am SOO not looking forward to it.. dh did the yard this weekend and it looks wonderful the dog pin (that we don't use) needs to be cleaned up but that is one of jeremiahs other projects. Thanks for the reminder Karen!!
coasterqueen replied: I haven't repotted the plants I have up on my kitchen cabinets since we moved in over 6 years ago and they are still alive.
CantWait replied: I'm working on laundry today (like always), and I'm going to vaccum my main floor and mop. Then if I feel frisky I might work on my bedroom
kimberley replied: well i already planted my bulbs and weeded but still need to rake up all the stupid crab apples and trim the hedges . will try for later in the week. it is really cold and miserable here today. laundry it is today lol.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I did about four loads of laundry yesterday. I'm a tidy freak, so I rarely let my house get cluttered enough to have to choose one day to pickup. I wish I would let go sometimes. Although, Wil just got into our Trivial Pursuit game and threw the cards all over the place. I have no motivation to pick those up....it's so unlike me, but they are staying on the floor for awhile!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh okay....I need to go mop.
coasterqueen replied: How on earth do you find time with a child around? And with TWO I've found it even more difficult!
Kaitlin'smom replied: yep I ws noticing my year need some work also, maybe I can do a bit tonight or sometime this week.
