It's almost 1:00 am and I just got Ashley to bed..
MommyToAshley wrote: I think she is cutting the top two middle teeth now. Pooooorrr baby!!! She has such a hard time teething. I wish I could take the pain for her!! Her little cheekers are sooooo red and she has been biting on stuff and tuggin' it out of her mouth all day. And, she has been sooo fussy which is not like her. I can feel the little bumps on her gums too. I hope they cut through soon!
I made her some popcycles out of Gerber juice and she loved it... but the cold only helps for so long. The Hyland teething tabs aren't helping tonight like they did the other night. I was thinking I might give her some tylenol if she wakes up again, but not sure I can mix it with the teething tabs.
supermom replied: Poor baby - that is so hard on us when they hurt so bad.......hugs to you and her, go to bed and get some sleep, it sounds like you are gonna need it!
MommyToAshley replied: Going to bed now, thanks... I just needed a few minutes to wind down. And I wanted to see how everyone was doing. I have to check on Ashley and then my second family here before I can go to bed. heeheee. Good Night... at least until Ashley wakes up again.
MomToMany replied: Poor little girl! It's so awful the stuff they have to go through! I hope those teeth pop right through!
Here's some quick teething vibes~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How are you all doing this morning?
Hope she feels better soon!
MommyToAshley replied: Well, she slept for 4 hours...that's not bad when she is teething! I guess the teething tabs did help a little. But, then when she woke up, I felt so bad for her. She would try to fall asleep and then a couple of minutes later wake up crying. She was sooo tired she couldn't keep her eyes open, she was crying with her eyes closed.
But, she is doing better today -- even smiling and laughing. SHe is taking a nap now... she's been asleep for a little over an hour.
Thanks for the easy teething vibes!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I didn't know they made teething tablets! I'm going to have to remember that! Have you tried rubbing Anbesol on her gums they have a night time formula that is supposed to be thicker than the regular formula.
Hope she cuts those teeth soon! Poor little baby!
((((HUGS)))) Kirsten
MommyToAshley replied: I tried the baby orajel (the regular and the nighttime) when she cut her bottom teeth. She did not like it at all! She got really mad and screamed... I guess she didn't like the feeling of it.
Someone here recommended the teething tabs...they are called Hyland Teething Tabs. I had a hard time finding them, but I finally found them at our CVS Pharmacy. They seem to work better than the orajel. But, as our Ped put it, Ashley is a bad teether.
MomToMany replied: I'm glad she slept for a little while anyway, and that she's in a somewhat better mood today!
None of my kids liked the Orajel either, heck I don't either! So you can't hardly blame them a bit. At least you found something that works!
Hoping she gets them toofers soon!
Schnoogly replied: You should be able to give tylenol on top of the teething tabs--they're totally non-medicated and wouldn't interact w/the tylenol. And I think they stop working when they're at the worst of teething--when the teeth are just coming through.
HTH Steph
ediep replied: You can give tylenol with the teething tabs, we do it all of the time when Jason is having a hard time with teething Good Luck! Hope she cuts them soon
MommyToAshley replied: Thanks... if she has a tough night again, I will give her tylenol too. She seems to be not so fussy today, but the teeth still haven't popped through yet.
Kaitlin'smom replied: awww poor Ashley, momy and daddy! I hope it gets better soon!
I had been having ruff nights with Kaitlin, thought she might be teething, but I think it was a growth spurt, she slept good last night only got up once to eat! Yippy I hope she keeps it up, so i can sleep!
