My youngest Boden was diognised with Di George syndrome. So we have been seeing so many speacialists. He had his heart surgery back in December. He is doing well biggrin.gif I am sitting for my borther for some extra money and I just got a new job on the weekends. I just finished up a semester at collage and I did very well surprising to me...lol. Well anyway I just found out that i am pregnant again. wacko.gif Not sure how I am feeling about this because there are a lot of risks now wiht this one. One being I had a c-section with Boden and you are to wait a year to have another after a c-section. Two we have not yet been tested if the deleted chromson was form one of us or not. If it is it is a %50 chance that the next one could have Di George and could be in worse shape then Boden. We jsut got the script to have that done and are waiting to hear back from insurance, if a genetic test is covered or not. So we will be doing a lot of praying and ask for the same form everyone else that this baby will be healthy. I hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to hear what I have missed in the past 6 months I have been gone...lol. Take care! wavey.gif

Thanks everyone. To answer the question of what Di George syndrome is.... it is when the Chromosone 22 is deleted and can cause so many different issues such as heart defects, deformed faces and heads, learning disabilties and the list goes on. Babies born with severe cases can die. In Boden's case he had a heart defect and had surgey to repair that. The only part that is deformed a bit is his ears. They are crinkeled at the tops of them. I think they are cute. Anway each case is different. It all depends on the genes and what that body deside to due in the delition. I will put up more recent phots soon.

To Logans mom....How is Logan doing? When did he have his first surgery?

b&bsmom replied: Hey Missy,
NIce to see you back on the boards. Congrats on the pg. I hope all goes well and will keep you and your family in my prayers. Talk to you soon. biggrin.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: wavey.gif wavey.gif Hello.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
First surgery was March 2005. It was closed heart and we only stayed in the hospital 4 days. The one in October was a double valve replacement and we were in the hospital for 6 days. But he's doing great now. We don't have to go back until he is 1 year post op. I am thrilled.
