Its getting annoying.
PrairieMom wrote: So, tomorrow is FINALLY South Dakota's primary election, (in case you live under a rock and hadn't heard) and TODAY and keep in mind that its only 3:30, I have been called twice and a flier has been left on my door to remind me. Everyday for the past week or so both Democratic candidates have called my house at least twice. 1/2 the time their computer doesn't even kick in when I answer which is extra annoying. Saturday they had party volunteers walking through our neighborhood talking to people about it. OK! I GET IT! I am totally planning on voting, I have been looking forward to it for forever now... jeeze! Lay off!
I am excited to see the news coverage tho, South Dakota and Montana don't usually have a lot going on.
My3LilMonkeys replied: They're getting desperate for the votes now!!
PrairieMom replied: yup and our 3 electoral votes are gonna push them right over
Danalana replied: Alabama only has 1 electoral vote.
PrairieMom replied:
you have 9.
PrairieMom replied:
Alabama 9 Alaska 3 Arizona 10 Arkansas 6 California 55 Colorado 9 Connecticut 7 Delaware 3 D.C. 3 Florida 27 Georgia 15 Hawaii 4 Idaho 4 Illinois 21 Indiana 11 Iowa 7 Kansas 6 Kentucky 8 Louisiana 9 Maine 4 Maryland 10 Massachusetts 12 Michigan 17 Minnesota 10 Mississippi 6 Missouri 11 Montana 3 Nebraska 5 Nevada 5 New Hampshire 4 New Jersey 15 New Mexico 5 New York 31 North Carolina 15 North Dakota 3 Ohio 20 Oklahoma 7 Oregon 7 Pennsylvania 21 Rhode Island 4 South Carolina 8 South Dakota 3 Tennessee 11 Texas 34 Utah 5 Vermont 3 Virginia 13 Washington 11 West Virginia 5 Wisconsin 10 Wyoming 3
Danalana replied: 9?????!!!!!!! What? I thought we always had 1! Oh dear...
PrairieMom replied: Don't be sad... Its a good thing.
Each states # is equal to its number of senators and representatives.
Danalana replied: I know it's not bad, especially compared to some. I just wonder how I could be so off. Maybe I'm thinking about something completely different.
lovemy2 replied: Hmm - look at that NY has 31 - one of the higher ones - but don't kid yourself Tara - our gas is still over $4.00 a gallon......
BTW - will you be riding your bike to vote
PrairieMom replied: probably. Either that or walking, my polling place is right down the street.
holley79 replied: Girl they just don't want you country folks to forget.
PrairieMom replied: I know. Michelle Obama called my house today to remind me. I felt so special. This isn't 1/2 as bad as its gonna get in the next few months when the real race picks up!
holley79 replied: They were rining ours off the hook as well. DH was getting so ticked.
Crystalina replied: Well don't waste your vote on Hillary because she's done tonight.
I'm sure most of you are real torn up about that.
PrairieMom replied: now, the ladies on the view said that Hillary's people said that wasn't true. Who knows. I am just feeling blessed that I had a choice, unlike my republican friends.
Crystalina replied: I thought they said it "was" true. I'm pretty sure it is. I'm not sure if she made her speech yet or not but I heard she's doing it tonight.
PrairieMom replied: nope, not true, and she didn't. Although, she did win SD.
