DH didn't have time to do anything for my birthday, he's been working crazy amounts of overtime so he told me to go to this store that had these plants I've wanted and get what I wanted.

I bought 4 plants and these nice terra cotta pots for them. Then the boys and I came home and planted them. They'll look nice in my living room.

I took advantage of having the car today and went to this store that is full of junk, closeouts and overstocks from other stores. Sometimes you can find a bargain, which I did today. I found a child's wooden crossbow including the target and darts for 9 Francs! You may remember Lucas playing with one of these when we went to the castle in Lenzburg. Since then I've looked for one and the cheapest I could find was 39 Francs. Too bad they only had one...

Tonight DH took me to eat at Stars and Stripes which is an American Bar and Restaurant that opened recently in Mutschellen (about 15 minutes from us). I had catfish and a loaded backed potato.

Overall it was a good day!

I was jokingly saying the same thing... we've been here for 1 1/2 years plantless and in about 6 weeks we're going away. We'll probably get our neighbor to come in and water them, or have DH's mom do it. All the neighbors in our building would do it and I trust all of them, but one is a little more special to us just cuz she loves the boys so much.
