It's official.... - I HAVE A SON!

Twelve Volt Man wrote: Wow, what a day this has been. My wife and I arrived at the hospital at 5:00 AM for our scheduled 7:00 AM C-section. It turned out however, that my son had turned around, and was now in the proper head-down position. The C-section idea was scrapped, and labor was induced. After several hours with no results, the decision was made to go ahead with the C-section. At 2:21 PM, my wife gave birth to a healthy, handsome little boy. He is 20 inches long, and weighs 6 pounds, 8 ounces. This is a link to a brief video of him in the nursery: Sam's first bath.

Everyone is doing and great, and we're so excited to finally have him here!

Twelve Volt Man replied: Thanks, everyone! We got home from the hospital today. We are really loving getting to hold him at home. Right now, he's just sleeping a lot. This whole parenting thing is a piece of cake! He sleeps, eats, gets his diaper changed, then repeats the process. He doesn't even cry. Perhaps I brought home a defective model. Regardless, I'm kinda fond of him, and I think I'll hang onto him.

Thanks. Actually, we were released just a couple hours short of 48 hours after he was born. My wife was doing great, and was walking around with no problem, so the doctor felt comfortable letting her go home. She has to go back to the doctor on Friday to get the staples out, but other than that, is not having any real problems. She's a tough girl... then again, she puts up with me, so she has to be!
