It's over. - had a follow-up u/s today

In my head I knew that my baby was gone, but in my heart I had a little bit of crazy hope still that somehow a healthy baby would show up on the screen.

My doctor said that what I passed on thursday was the baby... I guess I already knew that. My heart is aching. I feel empty and defeated.

It's ok. I know there isn't much to say. I definitely remember that "I wish I had something to say" feeling.

I do feel a bit better than I did when I left your house, but I'm still kind of weepy. One thing that really bugs me is, even though I had an idea last thursday that I might have miscarried, I didn't know for sure that that was what happened - I didn't even really think it was until a couple hours later. I don't know if it makes any sense, but I feel cheated, like I didn't get to say goodbye. I know that's not when my baby actually died, but that's when it left me. I also wish that we were living in a house that we're planning on staying in forever, so that I could have buried the baby.
