Target opened at 6 and I got there at 5:35...There was already a freaking line outside so of course I had to go stand in line!! wacko.gif Oh well. All of that waiting and I was in there for 10 minutes. I grabbed a couple of things for Maddie and a tree and came home. thumb.gif

5littleladies replied: Goodness gracious girl!!! Good for you! happy.gif I sent Dh out this morning. He got to Target early and most of the stuff we wanted was gone. dry.gif Stupid people. rolleyes.gif lol I'm glad you got what you wanted though! thumb.gif

Is it time for a nap yet?

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

Well, I will let you know what it looks like in a minute! LOL! I'm sure it is cheesy, but maybe by the time I get everything on it it will be okay. It will work anyway. Atleast I dont' have to string the lights on the darn thing. laugh.gif The store didn't even have one set up to look at. mad.gif This old lady was raising cain, too. rolleyes.gif

MomToMany replied: ohmy.gif Wow! I can't believe you went out in that! Ugh, I'm dreading going to get the boys later today. We have to get Ethan's birthday presents today, which means battling the crowds. I'm prepared though. If anyone pushes me around, they will get an earful! I'm not taking anything from anyone!

I hope the tree isn't too cheesy, LOL. It will look beautiful once you get it decorated I'm sure wink.gif !

coasterqueen replied: I'm so jealous!!! sad.gif I've been going the day after Thanksgiving for so many years I can't even remember but I can't go this year. bawling.gif bawling.gif

I'm so bored. sad.gif bawling.gif The rest of my family went to the movies and out shopping, Dh is over at his cousin's doing the candy making thing that we've done for the last 12 years (I can't this year) and Kylie is sleeping. She'll be going back over there with Dh when she wakes up. sad.gif

chloe&tysmommy replied:
LOL laugh.gif If you don't mind me asking...why were their people waiting that early in the morning for a store to open? Was their a huge sale or something? Or is everyone out Christmas shopping? I'm from Canada so I was just wondering if things are different there???

Sorry if I sound dense but I'm just curious tongue.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Wow your ambitious! I would never wait inline to get into a store, I get to anxious in crowds! laugh.gif

jen replied: That's awesome! I was trying to get my friend to meet me at garden ridge for the 72 hour sale at 2 am but she wouldn't budge! ha ha! Of course josh was going to stay home with maddy while I had a crazy night out at garden ridge but I was happy just sleeping just the same!! LOL

MomToMany replied:
Here in the good US of A, the day after Thanksgiving is THE biggest Christmas shopping day of the year. Most stores have really great sales and bargains real early in the morning (hence the lines forming outside), which causes almost a hysteria among customers. It's almost insane, but a great way to get great deals!

It's called Black Friday because most stores "are in the black", which means they are showing a profit instead of being "in the red", which shows they are losing money.

Hope that makes sense.

chloe&tysmommy replied:
Thanks Mollie!!!

I get it now...I guess it would be like 'boxing day' for us here smile.gif

Josie83 replied: Flipping heck, up with the lark or what? And a Xmas tree already - how organised are you?! xx

My2Beauties replied: You go girl, I wish I could have went day after Thanksgiving shopping this year! It's so much fun!
