James update..

kimberley wrote: well my little man is doing better today. his fever has broken and he is off the tylenol for that. we did learn that the pneumonia is very severe tho. most people only have it on one lung. he has it on both on all sides . he was able to eat today and even went for a walk around his floor just before i left. i brought him a ton of books, coloring books and some DVDs. he seemed happy about that. the three kids were all playing together and that brought a smile to his face . him and Jade have such a sweet and special bond.. it just melts me ! she got really upset the first time we went.. seeing him in bed with the IV. she just hugged him and sat with him most of the time. she was very somber and quiet. the second time we went back with Jacob, i guess she could tell he was better and was up in his bed playing and laughing. she jumped under the covers with him and all you heard was giggling . it was too cute!

his chest isn't paining him like it was anymore so the antibiotics are doing their job. the nurse i spoke to tonight doesn't think he will be home for the weekend i think it is for the best tho because his dad and grandmother are ADAMANT about taking the boys to the cottage this weekend for a week vacation . i strongly voiced my opinion to both of them that i thought it was too soon and that he needs to come home and "normalize" after all he has gone through. she bought the cottage, so they have all summer... and a lifetime to spend there. it is not his fault he got sick when they both booked vacation time off work and i really resent that being their driving force in this. like i need to battle them on top of everything else ? i swear, my pg hormones are just gonna snap one day soon and someone will be floatin in the hudson!

i have a Jacob funny...

while we were there he needed to use the washroom. he was in there quite a while and i called to him to make sure everything was ok and he said he was just washing his hands. he comes out all excited and says "James, this place is great! you got a brand new tooth brush and toothpaste! it's like a hotel!" LOLOL *I* bought those
not 5 minutes later a nurse rushes in all flustered and concerned and she asks if everything is alright. confused, i ask her why and she said the washroom emergency call alarm is sounding off the board . apparently, Jacob couldn't figure out the flusher (you push towards the wall instead of pulling up or down) and figured that wasn't the right thing, so he looked around, found the cord on the wall and pulled that a few times thinking it would make the toilet flush . he thought that must have been broken too and just washed up and left the washroom

never a dull moment with kids.

i am going back tomorrow around 3pm and might have to stay the night with all three kids . wish me luck if that is the case lol.

MommyToAshley replied: I am glad to hear that James is doing better. I know you miss him, but I agree that it is good he is staying a while longer just to make sure he is 100%. And, then you won't have to fight his dad and grandma about anything either.

It sounds like Jade and James have a really special bond, what a touching story. It brought tears to my eyes.

And, you have touched on all my emotions because the Jacob story had me rolling. OMG, HOW FUNNY!!! I am sure that story will be told and retold,

I can't believe they would want to take him to the cottage after all this he's going through! That's nuts! So it probably is going to be good that he stays in even though it's rougher on you. Best to get him completely recovered!
