She had a knot in her cord so it was pretty scary there for a bit apparently but mom championed through it and avoided the c section. They are both doing well.

I'm so glad to hear Mom and baby are doing fine. I can't wait to see the pics and hear how Jade likes being a big sis.

Carrie just wanted me to let ya'll know that she is doing fine and that she and Jordan should be home at the latest Friday...but hopefully Thursday. The only reason it's taking this long is because they put her on magnesium for her blood pressure and the drip had to continue 24 hours after birth....so she still has 3 hours left on the magnesium, then she can go to postparum and home after that if all is well.
Jordan did indeed give us a scare. Just like with Jade, her heart rate would drop with the contractions....but with Jordan, after about 8 hours or so, her heart rate really dropped...down into the 50s. They checked Carrie, she was 7CM...then decided to give her something to stop the contractons... I think that was the scariest part of everything for me. She started shaking and her heart raced....which they warned us it would for a few minutes.. But it kept going on and on... So I hope none of you ever have to experience that...
After the medecine wouldn't fully stop her contractions and the baby's heart rate continued to drop with every small contraction.. They checked again and Carrie was 9CM, a 2CM change within 30 mins... So they decided to have her push in the labor/delivery/recovery room...and she was doing well....but not well enough for the doctors liking...
So they decided to move us into the OR in case they needed to do a C-section.. So, I got all dressed in my white suit with hair net and shoe covers, shaking and blood pressure through the roof and looking like something off of the SciFi channel..LOL... But Carrie was strong and a great pusher...and she pushed Jordan out naturally in about 15 minutes in the OR...and then they found the problem...a perfectly tied knot in the cord.. (Jade's cord was around her neck when she was born, so apparently we have no luck with umbilical cords between Carrie and I)
So we have two beautiful girls... And Daddy's blood pressure is probably way worse than mama's was during the whole ordeal..
Anyways, sorry for the diatribe, just wanted to pass on Carrie's and Jordan's good health and the whole story. And thank you all for the blessings!!! You all are the greatest!
