Just Update On My Dad Again

The cops ended up charging him with "wreckless driving" and "6 points off his license" I know that is pretty relieved. He is really lucky they didn't charge him with more. He still has go court to pay some fines not sure how much they will be.

I still worry about him though. When we go over to my parents house all he does is sit in his room, and hardly talks to anyone. He don't even really bother to come out and sit in living room, or go outside with everyone else. I think he has really had depression and he will not admit it. The bad thing is he has been asking my mom if he can buy him some beer again.

I don't have right to judge him as I drink myself, but he does not know how to control his alcohol at all. And I don't go out by a 12 pack beer drink it and go get another 12 pack when he is done with first. He use to do that in one day over the weekend. So he probably drank around 36- 48 during the weekend.

mom21kid2dogs replied: I was hoping he might get ordered into alcohol couseling or AA. Hope things get better for yor family, especially him! He definately sounds depressed.

mckayleesmom replied: Maybe you can have a family confrontation with him. Sit him down and make him realize how much you love him and want him to get help...no matter what kind of help..alcholhol obviously and maybe help with his depression too.

mom2tripp replied: Sounds like my stepfather-although he's never gotten caught drinking and driving YET--he drinks every day except he drinks liquor--it's terrible. Family confrontation didnt' work--who knows what wil. I hope your father gets the help he needs

3xsthefun replied: I hate to say it but I really don't think family confrontation will do any good. My dad is a very stubborn man. I just don't know what it will take. I will try talking to him but I know he more then likely will just argue with me.
