Just a random thought. - Don't get mad. About Jennifers polls

Insanemomof3 wrote: If some of you don't like the polls and don't want her to post them. I can understand you not agreeing with them being done, but it is always known what the post is, if you don't like it, don't read it or vote? Just ignore the post as if it isn't there, that way the rest of us can enjoy them.

There is my random thought for the day.

gr33n3y3z replied: she asked so ppl. are saying
I agree you dont like them dont read them but the polls are getting old

lisar replied: I dont think anyone should be mad for people telling the truth. She asked the question so people are answering it honestly.

moped replied:
True

moped replied:
True
Is anything gained from the polls other than a few debates?

amynicole21 replied: I find it interesting, and frankly shocking most of the time, to see what people REALLY think about things when they are being honest with themselves.

Don't like 'em? Don't read 'em.

Insanemomof3 replied: I don't want a debate HERE. I was just saying, there are tons of posts everyday, skip the ONE you don't like. There are people who like them. Ok, not beating the horse, I am shutting up now.

MommyToAshley replied:
I agree... she asked and people were being honest. She shouldn't take it personal though... some people just don't like polls.

The biggest complaint that I have heard from members is that the polls push other posts to the bottom. But as many of you suggested, those that don't care for polls probably do skip them. I don't think anyone was debating about it though, it's just a matter of personal preference.

hopefulmomtobe replied: Some people just will find anything to debate over.

Why debate though, just skip them if you dont like them...who cares, let others enjoy them.

Guess what people, there are more then just one type of person out there, you have to have some variety sometimes!

Danalana replied: Yep, I rarely read polls, but they don't bother me...

coasterqueen replied:
ITA.

Danalana replied: laugh.gif Oh, the acronyms....I love the challenge of figuring out the ones that aren't listed on the site cool.gif

coasterqueen replied:
biggrin.gif ITA is I totally agree....just in case that was one you weren't sure about. happy.gif

Danalana replied: i got it, girl smile.gif Sometimes, I look at the preceding text and that helps.

luvmykids replied: I don't think anyone is being mean, just answering the question.

mckayleesmom replied: I personally don't care for polls a whole lot....I will divulge in them every now and then. I don't mind that Jennifer posts them though....I just skip past them.....Never really thought about it before. She did ask what people thought though...so they have the right to be honest.....it was part of her poll answers and they answered.

Calimama replied: I like them! If for some reason I didn't then I would just ignore them. There's been a couple I had to really think about.. it gets me going in the morning.

jcc64 replied: I find them interesting and sometimes really surprising. (for better and worse)

Mommy2BAK replied: I keep coming back to this post and I guess its just because I really don't understand the purpose of what you said. Obviously there are people on both sides of the fence, and seems like everyone is being pretty mature about it, so I guess I just can't understand what your trying to say. Unless I missed some sort of uproar elsewhere. dunno.gif

Insanemomof3 replied:
I was just stating my opinion. But I am not doing that anymore. People think it is mean for some reason. I just don't understand people anymore. Oh well. I am over it.

Crystalina replied:

I don't think anyone is trying to be mean at all. Jennifer asked a question and then so did you. Members are just anwering what was asked. I think your post came across (whether it was intended to be or not) like you were questioning why people voted the way they did. It sounds like that anyway. I think if Jennifer truly didn't want to know she would not have asked. And I'm sure she will lose no sleep over what we think. She is her own person and this is a public board to post how she wants. smile.gif Whether we like it or not. biggrin.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
I agree I don't think anyone was trying to be mean.. sometimes its hard to read how someone is saying something on the internet because you can't hear there tone!!! hug.gif

Insanemomof3 replied: Oh god no, I was not trying to figure out why people voted that way. I expressed it wrong. I was just trying to point out that I like the polls and that people could just skip them if they don't. That was all.

My2Beauties replied: I, for the most part, have skipped the polls, because I'm not that into them. I will say this as someone who isn't able to come on here a lot anymore.....I find it really hard to dig through all the poll posts to get posts that I truly want to read, but I mean that's not anyone else's fault because I can't come on here as much, ya know. So.....I guess my opinion is I just skip 'em and don't read 'em for the most part.

Crystalina replied:
Maybe a seperate 'Polls Only' forum. thumb.gif

Someone really ought to talk the the management of this here establishment. emlaugh.gif

Calimama replied:
That's a good idea! thumb.gif

skinkybaby replied: I don't mind some polls- like the ones asking for an opinion on a name or things along those lines. But like someone else said, when you don't have a lot of time to spend on here its hard to figure out whats what.

Twelve Volt Man replied: I usually at least look at the question. Most of the times, though, the options provided don't fit my response, or the question is too "out there" for me to bother with.
