Just heard sad news.

mammag wrote: I just found out that Conner's last year teacher was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). They are giving her about 2 years to live. I am sooo sad. She is the sweetest little woman you could ever meet.

I had noticed she was limping but just thought she might have hurt her leg or something.

Can you all please pray for her?

Should I say something to her today? My friend & I are going to give her some bath products and a card or something on Monday.

amynicole21 replied: ALS is such a horrible disease. sad.gif I would let her know that you are thinking of her and praying for her - I'm sure it would mean a lot to her.

MommyToAshley replied: Oh, how sad.

I think the gift and card sound like a great idea. I am sure it will mean so much to her to know that you all are thinking of her.

5littleladies replied: Oh that is sad. sad.gif I agree that a gift and a card would be a nice gesture. I think if you see her today it would be fine to say that you are thinking about her and praying for her.

mom21kid2dogs replied: UGH! ALS is such a horrible disease. I would mention that you heard & are praying for her and her family. Maybe later on people could organize to do dinners, cleaning or other "household" type things (especially if she has a family) as that really depleates her energy not to mention those are things that become physically impossible at some point. God bless her & those who love her!

CCTandME replied: My heart just sank reading this post. That disease is my biggest fear. I had a neighbor who died from it. Very bawling.gif sad!!

3xsthefun replied: That is so sad. sad.gif I also think the gift and card sound like a good idea. She would probably be grateful knowing that you are thinking of her.

A&A'smommy replied: OMG that is SO sad!!! sad.gif I think that is very sweet what ya'll are giving her that should make her feel very special!

Isabelita replied: That is very sad bawling.gif I am sure she will really appriciate the gift to know that you are thinking of her, even if you don't say anything to her happy.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: Maybe not any word btu the gift adn a hug will let her know how you feel, adn that you are thinkin of her

coasterqueen replied: Oh no, my p&pt's are with her and her family. grouphug.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: So sorry to hear that sad.gif
I will say prayers for her and her family
I think the gift is a wonderful idea and do let her know you are thinking of her and praying

mammag replied: Well, she was in her classroom with the door closed so I didn't see her today so I'll just take the gift into her on Monday and give her a hug and kind word. I was afraid I would start crying when I said something to her so it was probably better. It says a lot about her that she is continuing the rest of the school year after getting this news.

gr33n3y3z replied: she seems like a great person and cares very much about her kids that she is teaching

Emeraldsmom replied: That is terrible. I will be praying for her.
