Just stopping home from Children's Hospital - to take a shower...

She has had diarrehea off and on now for 2 weeks and yesterday she had a 104 degree fever and wasn't taking in any liquids on top of a double ear infection, yeast infection and bloody stools.... So we took her in and they have had her on IV's all of her tests have come back normal except for her electrolytes which they are working on with pedialyte and IVs. I'm exhausted, she won't let me put her down and won't go to anyone but me, I slept with her last night on an awful hospital pull out chair. It was a bad, night... Adam is with her now I thought I'd sneak home for a nap and shower and wanted to stop in.

MyBabeMaddie replied: Good news, she's finally taking a bottle and keeping it down so they have lessened her IV use... Bad news, her blood tests show that she is till dehydrated, Good news, her BM's are slowing down to just a lot of gassiness now. Bad news, I didn't sleep a wink last night because a 2 year old got admitted to the other half of our room who did NOT SHUT UP she screamed non-stop the ENTIRE night! I was ready to pull my hair out - I come home to try to get some sleep and my mom calls crying cause my Aunt went over to my grandpas house to check in on him and found him out cold on the living room floor (he had a stroke, left side is paralyzed) So much for sleep, its just weird because tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of my grandma's (his wife)'s death....

If Maddie has to stay the night tonight Adam is staying, I can't sleep in a hospital tonight.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa. I hope he makes a full recovery. My Grandma was never quite the same after my Grandfather passed away... A loss like that can be really hard.
