Kade is ONE today!

He has been running a fever since early Sunday morning, and spent 3 hours in the ER yesterday evening Luckily, he has been taking his bottle today, and he refused it a lot the last 2 days (he would eat though). His doctor referred him to an ENT, and we saw him yesterday. He said there is a little fluid in his ears but they aren't infected now. We are supposed to see him again in 2 months and we hope it drains out on its own. Anyway, his fever has gotten as high as 103.1 and he has NEVER had a fever before Sunday. he is cutting his molars, so i am chalking it up to that. At the ER, his temp was 100.4, and that was down from 102.8 (I gave him tylenol and it had been in his system over an hour and a half). They did a complete blood count, a flu swab, and a chest Xray to rule out pneumonia. Everything came back normal. Oh, here's a couple of pics from the ER...you can tell he didn't feel well





We are having a family party for him on Saturday, so I pray he feels better for that. He is playing now but he is whiney. I would be too, if I had the huge knots on my gums that he has....poor sweet boy! I can see where 3 molars are about to pop through. Man, these molars are terrible!

We are having his party on Sunday after church...I have a feeling I might cry He hasn't had a fever since Wednesday afternoon, but he does still have what the ER called a cold. See, the problem with Alabama is that we might have 75 degree weather one day, and then it's 40 the next. Lots of people are sick right now. I am blessed to not have gotten any of it! Kade is doing lots better. but I can't wait til he's over all of it!
