Karen..........caddy.......hmmmmm
coasterqueen wrote: I just don't mix with a caddy. My somewhat of an insane MIL and her DH are watching the girls today. I finally got her to agree to do it, but she's only watching them until she has a nervous breakdown, then I have to come get them. The woman is STRANGE. She already thinks she's going to have a nervous breakdown from my kids so she's warning me ahead of time. Oh well, hope she waits to have one til later so I can get some work done here.
Anyways, I let her have my van to ease her breakdown and I took her caddy. I hate that thing! I couldn't even figure how much gas she left in it and knowing her she didn't leave me much. I also couldn't figure out how to get the seat forward. You should have seen me hunched up towards the steering wheel with no seat to support my back all so I could reach the pedals.
I had some errands to run at lunch but I think I'll stay far away from it and only drive it to go get the girls later today.
LeaAnn, I don't know how you handle one. That thing was just too much for me and I have a minivan.

kimberley replied: i feel your pain. my dad has a caddy and has let me use it a few times. sometimes i think it would be easier driving a cruise ship
hope MIL hangs in there she sounds kinda dramatic.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Hang in there! Literally...those things are huge! My grandfather used to have one and when we were kids, and there were no seatbelt laws, we would slide from one side of the car to the next because the seats were vinyl! So fun!
Kaitlin'smom replied: yep we haveone in the family as well they offer it to me one and I said NO WAY. Hope MIL does okay, she sounds a bit dramitc, but glad she finally agreed.
My2Beauties replied: LOL it overwhelms me too because everything is electric. The button to move the seats in Brian's caddy is on the door panel, there is one that is long ways from left to right and one going up and down, one moves the seat up and the other does his lumbar. The gas tank in his car is like one in any car, but if the fuel is low and her car is in good condition, a caddy will beep a couple of times and Fuel is Low will pop up on the odometer reading, since it's digital I couldn't figure out his lights or heat and air the first time I drove it, I've only drove it twice needless to say! I"m used to it now just because we drive it in everyday! But when I first got in it and drove it, I looked so silly, my head doesn't even fit over the steering wheel because they sit so low to the ground! They are definitely made for a man if you ask me! Brian's has heated seats and everything in it, butt warmers as I call them! Too many devices for me!
Boys r us replied: that was a great mental pic!! LOL
coasterqueen replied: I thought I'd be fine w/the caddy because my van is fully loaded with every feature known to man except GPS, but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. Thanks for the tip on moving the seats up. I thought MIL told me it was down on the side of the seat but I saw no such button there. It took me 15 minutes hitting buttons to figure out how to lock the doors.
coasterqueen replied: I wish I could literally see myself driving it too, I know I'd be peeing my pants laughing at myself.
My2Beauties replied: LOL NOw I'm picturing that too! That is funny!
A&A'smommy replied: OMG Karen I'm sorry I hope she has her nervous breakdown later today so you can get all your stuff done!!
My3LilMonkeys replied: I had a caddy for 2 years and I LOVED it. I have always driven big cars/SUVs so the size didn't really bother me.
I am weird though.
