Karen, how was Sesame Street Live?

I went to the Sesame Street live website and signed up to be notified when they come into town! They also have Bear in the Big Blue House and Dragon Tales shows... I hope they come soon!
kimberley replied: ooohhh! yes, do tell!! i bet Kylie had a blast!!
coasterqueen replied: It went well! She was so excited when we first got there. We got there early on the advice of camsmom (thanks ) and she got to run around, we let her get a little toy, a mini sesame street lunch box and then she ate since she hadn't had lunch yet.
She was so excited when they came on stage. We were right there by the stage and so the characters were coming down all the time dancing in front of us on the floor and shaking hands. Kylie didn't like the "Honker" character. She screamed and held on for dear life every time he came by. He eventually stopped coming our way.
Every time Bert was on stage she kept yelling ERNIE! I kept telling her "no, Kylie, that's Bert, not Ernie". She proceeded to yell ERNIE louder.
She kept yelling ELMO even when he was not on stage. Everyone kept laughing because she seemed to say it at the most quiet times of the show.
It was an AWESOME show, though. DH and I both thought it was worth the $18 a ticket for sure! I was dancing around being stupid. Hope no one I knew saw me.
We took some pics, but with our angle and the stage we were soooo close it was hard. I'll try to post them tomorrow.
Oh and during the intermission I went to change Kylie's diaper and DH bought Kylie an ELMO balloon. $8!!!!! I looked at him and said "you know she could have gone without the $8 balloon, she's still young enough."
It was also FREEZING in there!!!! We didn't dress for WINTER in there. UGH! I guess they had the air so low because of all the hairy suits the characters had to wear. We brought Kylie's sesame street blanket, so DH and I kept taking turns holding Kylie and covering with the blanket. We did that not only to keep her warm, but to stay warm ourselves. It would have looked really funny with no kid on our laps, but a sesame street blanket.
All and all she loved it. She wasn't as excited as *I* thought she would be but she did like it.
amynicole21 replied: Yay! I'm glad it went so well! I bet that was so cute when Kylie was yelling for Ernie and Elmo She is adorable!
MomToMany replied: I'm so glad it went well and that you guys enjoyed yourselves! Hopefully the pics will turn out OK!
Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds like fun! glad it went well. I cant waite to take Kaitlin to shows liek that when she is a bit older so she and I will enjoy them
kimberley replied: LOL! Kylie is just too funny! i can just picture here all excited and shouting out can't wait to see pics
CantWait replied: Sounds like a lot of fun!!!!!! Glad everyone enjoyed themselves. I can't wait to take Anthony to something like that one day
3_call_me_mama replied: Glad you had a great time.... yeah we passed on the baloon .... it was more than the lunch box that we bought!!!
MommyToAshley replied: Soudns like a blast! I bet Kylie was sooo cute, I can just see her doing those things.
I checked and they don't have a show in this area soon.
coasterqueen replied: Oh yeah, I was shocked that DH paid $8 for the balloon! Very stupid of him, . The lunchbox was $7, I thought that was enough. Dh can be such a softy sometimes.
coasterqueen replied: Aww that stinks Dee Dee. Are there any other kinds of kid shows in your area? We wanted to take Kylie to see the Wiggles, but missed the last show. They are coming back in August but the drive is 1.5 hours away. I was suprised DH said we could do it.
