Katherine's Awww Moment of the Day

Guest_kit_kats_mom wrote: My little smarty pants really suprised me this morning. She always brings me books to read to her. This morning, one of the books she brought was Goodnight Moon. I was reading it to her and when I got to the part with "the old lady whispering" Katherine said "hush" in a loud whisper. She did it both times. I am shocked that she already knows the story by heart.

She loves her books and if you are sitting down, she will bring one to you and back up into your lap. She is so cute and smart! Just amazes me. It's moments like that that keep me from going insane during the "feeding circus".

Her new words this week are: hot, hush, mama and yes/yeah. I'm happy that she has added yes to her vocab. I was getting a little tired of everything being "no/nah".

Schnoogly replied: That is so cute! Iain doesn't have the patience to get through a whole book yet. He prefers to practice opening and closing them (also the doors--opening and closing are big around here!)

We better not get them together or they'll devise a plan to take over the world!! There would be no food, no napping, and lots of being carried and playing with the VCR and dancing and absolutely NO diapers and especially no pants on Iain's watch.

Ashley LOVES books too and will do the same thing -- she'll bring them to you if you are sitting down and then climb up on your lap and hand you the book to read her. When you are done, she wants to read it 10 more times. LOL

Maddie&EthansMom replied: That is so cute! And so good that she loves books. Maddie loves books, too. She has a couple memorized b/c she made her pa-paw read them over and over to her. LOL! I always thought it was important to read to your children. I love to read as well and I think it was b/c my parents read to me so much as a child. Keep up the good work, mommy!
