Kids I baby sat.. - their new sitter

They went to craigslist and just picked some lady off of their and they took the kids to her house today. with no interview and no checking her out..
I think these kids need some prayers....

Kentuckychick replied: I know plenty of well qualified sitters/nannies who list on craigslist... it's nothing I would do simply because I don't feel it's safe for ME! But never ever EVER would I leave a child with someone without meeting them and interviewing them and having them meet my children and asking for references and all that jazz.

I will certainly pray for these children that they are being left with one of the few really good sitters that choose to go through CL... and I'll pray for the sitter as well.

This sounds like such a tough situation for all involved.

Boo&BugsMom replied: You gotta wonder what type of person it is who would take a family without meeting them first. It's nuts...when I did daycare I would get people calling me asking if they could drop their children off the next day...no interview, no meeting. Unreal. When I would get those calls I would tell them I was full and couldn't take any more kids...regardless if it was the truth or not. I don't want to take care of kids whose parents are that negligant. I want families who CARE about their care. Ugh.

I hope the person isn't a loony and that sooner or later this family will WAKE UP!

Marie, you cant imagine the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders.
I was able to work today and not feel any anxiety.

youngmomofone replied: I hope they got lucky and found an amazing sitter who they are safe with...and that the sitter has patience for those kids and parents because I know I wouldn't have the patience.
