Kylie had her dance recital pictures done today

coasterqueen wrote: Kylie got her dance recital pictures done today. The actual recital isn't until June 30. I took her to my hair stylist early this morning and had her put her hair up in a bun. I wasn't going to attempt it with all that curly hair. Course it didn't take long for Kylie to jump all over the place and get her hair looking a bit more worn, but she looked cute. These are pics I took before we left to go there.

coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone. She's been in ballet for 1.5 years now, but she's been at an actual dance school for 9 months of that.

Dee Dee - I do not know what song she is dancing too. They keep the whole routine a huge secret so we haven't seen any part of it. I've begged Kylie to show me, but she won't.

I was really worried about sending her for pictures thinking other mothers would put make-up on their kids and Ryan and I didn't want to do that to Kylie. Much to my surprise there was not one mother who put make-up on their kids. So that made me feel better.

I didn't put make-up on Ashley for the pictures either. I did a little for the recital. The teachers asked that we do that because the lights wash them out. I put a little on Ashley for the recital, but they said it should have been darker. Everyone else had it a lot darker, but I think she looked cute on stage without it.

Yeah, they haven't said anything to us about putting it on for the actual recital. DH is completely against it, though, so the most she will get is lip gloss.
