Kylie starts swimming lessons again tonight

coasterqueen wrote: Well Kylie is starting another round of swimming lessons tonight. Actually it's a "gym and swim" class like she's taken before. So they have "gym" for 1/2 hour and then swim lessons for a 1/2 hour.

She's pretty excited about this one compared to the past ones so I hope she tries to learn something in swim class, lol. She's been practicing her kicking in the bathtub so we'll see.

The pathetic thing is I am going to be doing them with her. I ordered a pg swim suit and I look HORRIBLE in it (seriously, lol). I can't believe DH won't get in the pool with her and is making me wear that hideous thing. dry.gif

I'll share some pics with you tomorrow (hopefully without my big caboose in them tongue.gif ).

kit_kats_mom replied: Sounds like fun. If it makes you feel any better, you are a much braver woman than me. I haven't even owned a bathing suit since before DH and I met...6 years ago. tongue.gif

Let us know how the class goes. I'm thinking of enrolling K in a "dance" class after the new year. It's actually a "movement" class that gets 2 year olds used to the dance class environment. I'm a little unsure about if she's ready or not.

kimberley replied: sounds like fun! i bet you look just fine in your suit. can't wait to see pics thumb.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Yeah I wanted to put Kylie in a tumbling class but DH wanted to do the swim lessons now in the winter and do the tumbling in the summer when she can still swim, lol.

I bet K would do great with a dance class. She moves well already. wub.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds like fun. I am looking into a few things for kailtin for next year

Josie83 replied: That sounds like so much fun! Cassie loves the water and will bob about for ages in a pool with daddy but we don't have time to take her to swimming lessons. I'll bet Kylie will have a great time, tho, you'll have to let us know how she goes! I bet you look fine in your costume by the way! xx

ediep replied: Oh, J would just love to get back in a ppppoooooooollllll as he says.

We don't have any classes like that nearby.

I had a maternity bathing suit when I was pg with Jay. Believe me, it feeld more uncomfortable than it looks. I felt like a complete cow, but it didn't really look that horrible.

mama3x replied: Can hardly wait to hear how it went!

Maternity swimwear - AFFORDABLE ONES - are nonexistent I think! It's not you I am sure, it's the swimsuit. YEP!

coasterqueen replied: It went great! Kylie absolutely LOVED the gym part of it. The swim part she wasn't as sure about. She thought it was really cool she could touch almost everywhere in the pool but she wasn't interested in doing the things the teacher asked. rolleyes.gif That's usual for her. The funny thing is her class is all boys..she's the only girl. biggrin.gif

I didn't realize how bad I looked in the swimsuit until I saw the pics DH took last night. blush.gif

Here's a few pics: The first one is of her playing in gym class.(sorry these are big)

coasterqueen replied: Another one (sorry these are big...I'm having trouble resizing these on this computer rolleyes.gif ).

This is another one from gym class.

coasterqueen replied: One of swim class. Don't mind my dorky expression. rolleyes.gif

coasterqueen replied: Last one. Dh didn't get a lot of good pics (without me showing more of that hideous swimsuit rolleyes.gif ).

amynicole21 replied: She looks like she had a blast!! Great pics thumb.gif

Josie83 replied: She looks like she really enjoyed herself! wub.gif thumb.gif wub.gif I love her cheeky little smile. Sounds like she's a boisterous little minx so being in a class full of boys might calm her down! Yeah right . . . wink.gif xx
