Kylie went to gym and swim class last night

Kylie loved the gym class. I thought there would be more kids in there and was a bit disappointed in that. There were only 3 other kids and they were all girls!!! Two girls were 2 yr olds and a 15 month old. But since she enjoyed herself so much I didn't care.

She walked right into the gym room and started pointing at the little girls saying "baby" to all of them. LOL. She is such a goof. She obviously thinks she's older than everyone else and that she's NOT a baby. biggrin.gif Silly goof!

She tried to run the show, which I figured as much. It was weird becuz she was the only one being a chatter box and wanting to play with everyone. Two of the girls went off in their own little area and played by themselves. One girl was the class clown, but didn't talk much. Kylie just ran around everywhere trying to take away whatever the girls were playing with and chatting up a storm. LOL.

I think I am in trouble, I see it in the future. emlaugh.gif

The swim class....we had the strictest swimming instructor! sad.gif I did NOT like her. I liked the young lady we had last time. sad.gif Oh well. When we get there we usually go thru the shower to get wet first, but I never wet my hair down. I just don't want to and I don't get my hair wet in the pool. It's a baby pool. The instructor told me next time my hair had to be wet before I got in the pool. mad.gif Grrr. Now that means I gotta go home and blowdry it for 1/2 hour just so I can go to bed with dry hair. Grrr.

Anyways, of course my child was the one who wanted to kick and splash the WHOLE time. LOL. She didn't want to lay on her back and float, use the floatation bars or sit on the side of the pool when instructed to. She wanted to drink water when we were teaching her to blow bubbles and wanted to splash and kick. emlaugh.gif What a goof! Overall, I'm not sure she liked it. She didn't cry or anything, but was very fussy. When we took her 7 months ago, she didn't really show any feeling about it, this time she was fussy. It could have just been the day, but we'll see next time. I think she just wanted to be let go to go on her own and she didn't realize that she was in a pool and can't. KWIM? LOL.

I didn't buy her a "special" workout outfit. Spent that money on other things, lol. And I got pics, at least I think DH got pics, but I don't have a digital so I'll have to post it later.

ediep replied: I am so glad that she had fun but that swim instructor sounds unpleasant mad.gif .

momma2jenna replied: how cool that Kylie is going to the class! I look forward to things like that.
I suppose y'all are in a natatorium? Have fun!

DansMom replied: Oh, that sounds like hard work but a lot of fun!

coasterqueen replied:
Yes, it's an indoor pool at our local YMCA. I don't particularly like our Y, would rather go to our local fitness clubs, but they are outrageous in price so we go to the Y. That way we can afford to let Kylie take other classes as well later on. Even though the Y isn't exactly CHEAP these days. rolling_smile.gif

aspenblue1 replied: I am glad she had fun in the gym. The swimming instructor sounds a little strict.

amynicole21 replied: Sounds fun! From what I know about Kylie, I think you are right in thinking she just wanted to go off and play the way SHE wanted to play, not with rules and having to be tethered to Mommy in this new experience. wink.gif I bet she'll have a better time next class!

Kaitlin'smom replied: why do you have to have your hair wet? sounds odd to me for a kiddie pool.....glad she had some fun though

coasterqueen replied:
LOL. The instructor said it was for health reasons or for something like that. I guess maybe she thought I had a few bugs sitting up in there, a few animals, goobers, lol. Not sure exactly rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: im glad she had a good time talking lol. And i dont think i would have liked that instructor either she sounds like she is making up silly rules! Maybe she will have more fun at the next swim class!

MommyToAshley replied: SOunds like she really liked the gym class...that's kewl. Hopefully the swim instructor will chill out a little before your next class. (Maybe she was just having a bad day)

Heather replied: AWW that is so exciting!! It sounds like she had such a great time!! Hopefully, you will get a different instructor next time. Can't wait to sign Ali up!

chloe&tysmommy replied: Wow, that instructor should 'chill' out a little lol.

Sounds like kylie had fun...You've inspired me to look into something for Chloe to do, I don't know what she would be like though....she's very stubborn lol rolling_smile.gif I might try the swimming classes..sounds like fun!!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Awww! It really does sound like she had a good time. At that age they really just like to do their own thing and splash around and have fun. The instructor should know they won't go by the 'rules'. I bet she was cute.
