Kylie's 15 month well-baby visit

Kylie had her 15 month well baby visit and everything went pretty well. She didn't get her shots because the doc said she had tonsilitis. She sure didn't act like it, had a stuffy nose all week, but never acted like her throat was sore. Oh well.

She finally grew into her head biggrin.gif Can't remember the measurements, but I was excited about that, lol. She weighs 26 lbs and 11 ounces! Kylie's a whopper! biggrin.gif And she is 34 inches tall, almost 3 feet! Doc said she is completely proportioned, so not to worry :-)

The only prob is after 3 months of walking she is still walking on her tippy toes the majority of the time so he is having me do exercises with her feet. If she is still walking like that at 2 or 2.5 years they will have to do casts or surgery to correct the problem. I'm pretty confident she'll be fine wink.gif

He said she doesn't need to be on vitamins because she is extremely healthy and as long as she is nursing there is no need for concern. He did say because she is nursing, though, that is the reason she isn't eating many solids. I know that is hogwash, and will ignore that, though. LOL.

Well, that was pretty much it. I just can't believe how chunky and tall she is, lol. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

DansMom replied: Wow she is a whopper! It's great that she's so healthy and strong! thumb.gif

kimberley replied: Way to grow Kylie!! lol @ growing into her head rolling_smile.gif i wouldn't worry about the tip toe thing. i still do it sometimes blush.gif it was never a problem with my feet, i just felt taller that way... it was a habit that stuck. biggrin.gif

hope the tonsilitis clears up quick. good thing she is being a trooper about it thumb.gif

aspenblue1 replied: WTG Kylie! I hope the tonsilitis clears up quick.

Kaitlin'smom replied: Way to grow! LOL growing into her head....my niece walked on her tippy toes when she frist walked also, and she did not have any further problems that I am aware of....

momma2jenna replied: yeah! sounds like everything is going great for her. Sorry about her tonsils though sad.gif

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif Sounds like she's doing great!! Sorry about the tonsilitis, though. Way to grow, Kylie!!

maliksmommy replied: That's one growing girl you've got! Too bad about the tonsilitis, at least it wasnt' bothering her too much.

A&A'smommy replied: awww wtg Kylie!!! She is such a big girl wub.gif

MomofTay&Sam replied: WTGrow Kylie! I hope she is feeling better soon. smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: WOW! ohmy.gif I thought Ashley was a big girl... but it looks like Kylie has her beat. biggrin.gif

Sounds like she is doing great and is a real trooper (not even acting sick with the tonsilitis)

MommyToAshley replied: Oh, I forgot to ask you... since Kylie is so big, have you moved her to a toddler bed? I can't remember if you were co-sleeping or if she slept in a crib. Ashley is getting too tall for her crib but I am hesitant about moving her to a toddler bed.

coasterqueen replied:
We moved her to a toddler bed a few months ago. Actually it's still her crib but it converts to a toddler bed. We put a twin mattress right below her bed so if she rolls off in the mid of night she won't hurt herself.

We still co-sleep, it's just her and I, though, on that little twin mattress right below her bed. biggrin.gif She goes to bed around 8 pm and sleeps in her bed til about 11 pm and then spends the rest of the night with me on the twin. She also takes her nap in her own bed.

She actually does really well in a toddler bed. She can crawl out on her own and up on her own and she seems to like it much better than being caged in that crib, lol. The way Kylie climbs everything I didn't want to take the chance of her falling out, so we went to the toddler bed early.

If you think you are ready, just give it a try ;-) We said if it didn't work, we'd put her crib back together and we didn't need to smile.gif
