Leaving town again!

The little girl is Maddie's age and they get along SO WELL. I'm looking forward to seeing them. We all have so much fun together. Scotty needs the time away for male bonding and I could use a little (more) female bonding.

We will drive in Saturday night and come home Sunday evening.

TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh we will be so close yet so far away. Tulsa is about 45 minutes from where I am in Arkansas! Have fun. I wish it was warmer for you they have an ok zoo there.

Tulsa is the nearest thing to culture for us, it is a big trip for us.

Where are you in Arkansas? I know several people from Arkansas.

My best friend's little sister just got married and moved to Fayetteville. I know people from all parts of Arkansas. I don't know why that is b/c I've only ever been there a couple of times.

I thought I remembered you saying your parents lived in Tulsa. Are you from there? I'm not really familiar with Tulsa so I don't know what area Scotty's cousin lives in. I just know their address.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Cool. They haven't been there very long so it is doubtful that you know them (unless they attend your parent's church or something)

My parents are on 77th--same zip code. My parents are Church of Christ. I really like Tulsa, it is a nice size--enough to do but not too big. You will be fairly close to the mall as well as all the wonderful places to eat!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I agree that it is a nice size and so easy to drive around in! I think Dallas is the WORST city I have ever driven in! We love Tulsa and would feel fortunate if we got to move there (it may even be a possibility).

They attend a Christian church. That is cool that your parents are so close. It is a small world.

Are there any great eating places that you would suggest? Other than the typical chains? I know in my hometown there are places I favor. We may even be able to introduce his cousin to something new. I wish we could stay longer to really explore the city. Both times we have been we haven't had much time to do anything fun, really.
