I came upon a big realization last night, there is no holiday without me I normally make confetti and all kinds of crazy things for New Year's with the kids and we all act crazy. I've been in a funk this year for some reason and didn't plan anything so we just sat on the couch, watched the ball drop, kissed each other and all went to bed. I did try to throw in a holler but it just wasn't the same. Since I'm bf'ing I couldn't really drink much so..... The kids still thought it was great because they didn't have to go to sleep at 9 o'clock.

Next year I'll just have to make up for it!!

mom89 replied: Nope! But if I hadn't drank that water last nite I would be! (had 5 glasses of zinfandel and a beer,btw)
Did wake up at 3:30 and felt like I was going to be sick,but then it went away.

Nothing alcoholic for me during pregnancy .... So the strongest stuff I hasd was fresh orange juice..lol

Kila replied: Not me! I'm so happy about that. DH and I don't drink. Too many bad nights. Everytime I think about those days I get a little queezy. We made it to 12:05 last night. What is wierd is that the baby girl is usually asleep for the night by 10pm. But last night she took a little cat nap around 10 and welcomed the new year with us. She's never awake at midnight...never. It's like she knew. She might have sensed some higher energy in the house. Who knows.

I had two captain morgan's and coke, I was trying really hard to enjoy my NEW YEAR'S at home ..but all I kept thinking was that this was the first New Yr's eve in 10 yrs that I've not been with my best friends..so I was feeling kind of bitter! So I just went to bed at 10 and called it a night!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Not me, I'm still sick with this flu! But I can't sit still so Christmas has come down at our house! I undecorated the tree and took all of the ornaments and my village off of the shelves.

The girls spent the night at my parents and we went for drinks and appetizers and then to a friend's house for a party.

Lots of fun. Tequila shot and lots of wine. But I ate throughout the night and drank water so I thought i would be fine...not so much. Very ill last night, but just feel a little off today.

jcc64 replied: Me!!!!! Kids spent the night with Grandma, and this is the 1st time in a lonnnnnnnng time that I really rocked out. Finally went to bed around 4am, and man, I'm getting too old for that! Lots of laughs and good times with some very special friends- great way to spend the evening.

WillDoDa replied: We don't have anything but beer in the house and I cannot STAND beer, but otherwise, I mighta been! It's all good, I watched the ball drop while talking to my husband on the phone (he was at work) Then I rolled over with my baby girl and went to sleep (she was already asleep. )

party-of-six replied: Not I! Played scrabble with DH, drank Diet pepsi (strongest thing allowed in house due to Ken's diabetes) and waited for the ball to drop.

ctymom replied: Not me.. DH and I gave up drinking about 5 years ago. And we dont miss it. Especially when we hear people slurring their words and/or getting sick! lol

mom21kid2dogs replied: Not us! My husband doesn't drink and I'm out of wine so it was a quiet New Year's Eve. Stephen dug out the tapes of past Ne Year's and we watched them with Olivia. She got a kick out of them! We were in bed by 12:30!
