Today was the first day she felt like using her laptop. Unfortunately there's no internet service in the hospital.

Hi, Brianne. Her appendix burst last week and went 3 - 5 days without her knowing it. It caused quite a mess.

It seems like they tried very hard to not only make it taste the same (no flavor at all), but they work very hard to make it all look the same, too. I think they've more than succeeded.

The "health shake," in the blue carton, tastes just like liquefied Play-Doh.

redchief replied: Her plumbing got to working this afternoon! She was moved to a soft diet, not exactly delectable, since it's hospital food, but at least it's edible. She so wanted to come home today, but she's in at least until tomorrow. The doctor wants to be sure solid food digests OK before sending her home. She'll have to go back on an outpatient basis for daily antibiotic infusions for about five days. We're pretty sure she'll be out of work for the remainder of the school year.

I hope she is feeling better and I'm so glad that she allowed you to post up these pictures, I'm sure she is feeling horrible but I'm glad she still has her sense of humor!
