Insanemomof3 replied: I was wondering about her too! I hope she is feeling better and they were able to find the problem.
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Hope everything is o.k.!!
redchief replied: Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts. We haven't said anything because we don't have any answers yet. We are looking everywhere though. Katie just finished the bloodwork part of the myraid of tests they're running to try and come up with the cause of her bowel problems. We're waiting on the results. We just scheduled her lactose gas test (I didn't even know there was a lactose intolerance test). She'll do that on Dec. 28. That promises to be a really uncomfortable day for her because, while the test is painless in itself, she'll have to drink concentrated dairy products over a three hour period. Since everything she eats causes her discomfort, she usually controls her intake to keep her abdominal pain at minimum. She won't be able to do that on Dec. 28. We'll start her stool samples most likely tomorrow. We had to wait for her to finish her period before those.
If none of the non-invasive tests give us any definitive answers we'll have to move on to colonoscopy; not looking forward to that. Again, thanks for keeping Katie in your thoughts and prayer. This has been really tough on Lisa too; as it would be for any mom when unknown medical problems come up. I think we'll all be much better and organized once we know what we're dealing with. My secret hope is that she has some sort of parasite. While that sounds awful, it wouldn't be chronic. Thanks again.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Sorry to hear this...Katie is in my thoughts! You all are!
A&A'smommy replied: poor thing keep us updated!!! LOTS of P&PT'S for ya'll!!
My2Beauties replied: I hope you guys get the answers you are looking for soon. Bless her heart!
jcc64 replied: Thanks for the update, Ed. I'm so sorry for all the stress and uncertainty- it's just so draining, isn't it? And when Noah was going through all of the testing and the preparations for the epilepsy diagnosis , my heart just broke to be putting him through all of that, especially when he was so stoic about it. I hope you get some answers sooner rather than later, and that Katie life isn't disrupted too much in the process. Good luck, you guys.
Insanemomof3 replied: Thanks for the update. I really hope you get answers soon. Big hugs to you and Lisa and of course Katie.
3_call_me_mama replied: Thinking of you !! Hoping that it all ends soon for her sake

I've been thinking of you all often. Thank you for the update. I was hoping you'd have some answers by now. I feel so bad for Katie. But, it sounds like the docs are being thorough and that's good.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Thanks, Ed. I know about sick kiddos. No fun, but at least I knew what was wrong with mine. I hope there is a diagnosis soon for Katie. And for Lisa too. Hugs to you. If you all have any questions about any of her lab results and the docs don't explain it very well, PM me. I'll try to answer.
jem0622 replied: Lots of P&PT that you get some answers soon! Not knowing is the worst! I hope everything calms down ASAP.
HUGS
