Little Einstein videos

my2monkeyboys wrote: Am I the only one that thinks these things are awful?? I absolutely hate them! Luckily so does Waylon, so I don't have to watch them. lol
But really, do kids actually like these things?? blink.gif laugh.gif

msoulz replied: Couldn't tell you because my brilliant children never watched them! Who needs them anyway when your future is so bright you have to wear shades? tongue.gif (yeah, that should be a song...) rolling_smile.gif

bluebear replied: They are giving refunds now for the dvds because they don't teach babies anything, or something like that.

my2monkeyboys replied: I can't imagine thinking it would teach anything... it's just so boring and just, I don't know... yucky?? LOL
I REALLY hate them, can you tell?? emlaugh.gif

coasterqueen replied: My kids loved them. Annoyed me, but they loved them. No different than half the crap out there these days. rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

DVFlyer replied: Electronic babysitters..... not that there's anything wrong with that. wink.gif

mckayleesmom replied: My kids hated them too....I have never personally taken Acid...but the couple times the kids watched them I couldn't help but think that that was what it was probably like... rolling_smile.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: You're right!! I could totally see that being like an acid trip!! emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif

Baby Einstein is recalled, not Little Einstein.

moped replied: We love them in my house! Jack liked them way better than Laila does, but it would buy me a wee of time......

LOVE THEM HERE

MommytoKKC replied: My son likes them. But he prefers other shows to them. He likes anything with singing and dancing, though.

A&A'smommy replied: neither one of my kids liked the baby einstein videos at all, although Autumn really wont watch tv anyway. Alyssa liked the little einstein tv show tongue.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: The only thing that has ever caught Waylon's attention on TV so far is Spongebob.... that show is a little annoying at times, too, but we're actually doing his b-day party in that yellow sponge just bc he likes him so much. That was one of his first words, as a matter of fact... 'bun-bob.' laugh.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: I didn't realize people actually thought those videos would teach their kids... not to the point that the company is actually refunding money! That's crazy!! ohmy.gif Evidently the company must have made some HUGE promises about these things to make them want to pony up the refunds.
I love the Leap Frog dvds, but if Will didn't learn anything from them I wouldn't have tried to get my money back. I look at tv from the viewpoint that it's just for entertainment, and if actual education happens along the way, that's just gravy. rolling_smile.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: laugh.gif We received one from my sister when Claudia was a baby. I thought it was incredibly annoying, but Claudia and Spencer (5 years older than her) really liked it. Never really did understand the concept. I gave the DVD to my sister when my nephew was born and I remember her calling me asking me what that SH*T was! laugh.gif
